What makes me a great caregiver: 20+ years of experience, knowing how to get creative when things seems complicated, having a passion for what I do. It would take me all day to tell you everything, so I'll leave you with that. I love helping those who can't do for themselves anymore. Me,enjoying most about being a caregiver, is seeing a smile on not only on my client face, but the FAMILY as well! One of my personal achievements is: being a single mom of 2 girls, raising both of them to be successful young ladles. The oldest finished high school at the age of 16, then moved on to be a dental assistant at the age of 17 and is now an LPN....moving forward, working on her RN degree. My youngest graduated top of her class, after being home school for 3 yrs. She finished at LSU in 3 yrs, has her Masters from Our lady of the Lake College and is now attending their Fellowship Program to become one of their top leaders in the company

I'm 32 years old and I have been a caregiver/ CNA for 10 years. First and foremost I love what I do. Being able to help others is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. The skills I've obtained over my years of working in different areas such as nursing homes, hospitals, and etc qualifies me to do my job to the best of my abilities. I work hard and I take pride in what I do.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of others while my 20 years of being a certified nursing assistant I learned that in order to do this type of work you have to have love, patience ,communication ,etc.Patience because you are dealing with many different people and when working some going to move slower than others but you can't rush them and commmunication because when working you have to be able to talk to the people you are working with and let them know what you are doing for them and you love because without loving what you are doing and loving them you will never be fit for healthcare I enjoy working with different clients and meeting their family members so they can know the great care I give their family member I am proud of being able to say I finished school and as of 04/03/2018 I have been a CNA for 20 years

I love taking care of the elderly,because one day we will all become elderly if we are fortunate, I took care of my mother for 15+ years, until her death, she had a severe stroke, I nursed her back to health within a year and she lived 18 more years, I am glad I was there for her. I have experience in diabetes, stroke, transfers, hospice, housekeeping, cooking, companionship, errands, trustworthy, dependable and I love to read out loud, I follow instructions well and I truly enjoy life, I am not an anxious person, I can adjust to most situations, and I love to talk and play games, Alzheimer's is something that I have the patience for, they just need extra love, and I pray daily.

I'm a very hardworking and compassionate caregiver. I've had life experiences and professional experiences has prepared me to be the best caregiver to your loved one(s). I'm articulate and believe in following the care plan that's in place is crucial to the Care and/or recovery of the client. The key to success is keeping up the quality of life. And that's what I plan to assist with. I've always loved caring for others and helping with my grandmother when I was younger really lit a fire under me. I enjoy most of all meeting people and with the elderly it's definitely the stories and wisdom that they share. With younger adults and kids for me it's more of helping them to grow into their personalities. Starting a small business training others in CPR. Being able to bring that into the community and know that I can train someone to save a life was certainly my greatest achievement.
