I am truly passionate about caring for others, whether it's children or seniors or someone with a disability; it means a lot to me to be able to do so. Over the years I have gained exceptional skills to be able to provide families with care for their loved ones. I am honest and dependable and always on time. I started out in this field at a very young age and have built so many relationships during my journey. What attracted me to patient and client care initially was my genuine love for caring for others and the ability to make a difference. I've become experienced in memory care, dementia care, long term care, hospice, youth care, developmentally disabled care, and general patient care which I did through Michigan Medicine. I am now in nursing school to get my RN degree . I believe I will be an amazing nurse from all of my experiences with families like yours.

I came into the caregiver role by accident. My best friend asked me to help out in a home she was working in with a widowed woman with MS. That was when I realized that I really enjoyed taking care of others. In this home I had the most variety of responsibilities. Throughout my HHA time I have worked closely with quadriplegics as well, gaining experience with ventilators, feeding tubes, catheterizing and ROM. These may include such services as changing colostomy bags, changing of non-sterile dressings, taking of vital signs, and non-sterile bowel and bladder hygiene care. Reporting changes in the patient's condition and needs to the supervising nurse. Takes actions in emergency patient situations and immediately report to supervisor with documentation and communication. Cooking and light housekeeping.
