I always liked to help people since I was a child. My grandmother brought me a child doctor kit and my family were all my patients even while they were asleep. I like to meet people and learn new things. I took a customer service class while in college. I am a team player. I took a nurse aide course in 1999 and my license is still current. I have taken a medical assisting course and received my Associate's Degree in 2009. My grandmother and mother had encouraged me to go to school and get certified like my mother. They were my supporters. My grandmother and mother let me practice all I learned with and my grandmother most times on her. My grandmother became ill and that was more of a push for me because I didnt understand the things my grandmother was going through. So I pushed harder for school and she fought harder to push me through. She died a little after I had passed my state exam. I just wanted to quit but I remembered my grandmother and the hardwork we did together. I pushed on after my grandmother died. My mother died and I decided to go to LPN school. My personal achievement I never thought of that. But if I had to think of 1, I would say it would the drive withing myself to not quit at my dreams and goals.
I am a very caring and trustworthy individual. Who takes pride in what she does. I work very hard and I am very compassionate about what I do. I became a care giver mainly because of my grandmother. I took care of her when she was sick and I realize after she passed even though i was heart broken It felt good that I was there to help her. Why I like about being a caregiver is helping someone who needs me the most and help to put a smile on their face. I am jovial person and to make someone's day that is a great feel. One personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am finishing up my Degree in nursing and I am very excited to be a Nurse.
I admire my mom and my sister on their passion as a nurse, it started when I met my moms friend at her work place when i was abou 14; a Korean who is paralized from hip to toe, we became friends and he shared how my moms job helped him and many others at the hospital it started there and i persuit nursing. After i graduated in nursing my first job was a fulltime with a Patient with Parkinson's for 3 years until he passed away. I have been a caregiver for over 15 years. I love what I do. I started on this path when my mother got sick and I wanted the best care for her. I enjoy the happiness and smiles that I bring to the people I care for. Knowing that they are well taken care of just does something to my heart. i will not only provide the best care for you loved one, I will treat them as my own Mother, Father, Sister or brother. I have been licensed in HHA as well as CNA and CPR.
My level of expertise is like no other; Effortlessly, I always go above and beyond for my clients. Ever since the age of five years old when my Mom asked me what I wanted to become and my answer was "Mom, I want to be a Doctor because I want to take care of old people and I love them" and of course she laughed. Years later I ended up in numerous occupations, but at the end I found my way back to nursing (smile)- Need I say more? It gives me great pleasure to listen to the elderly. Moreover, their stories are precious and rare each unique experience that "cannot" be replaced (priceless commodity) and most importantly the joy and knowledge it gives me deep within (humbled). Looking back on all my choices I can honestly say that I have no regrets; Especially, since it has mold my life and made me who I am today. My mother would have been proud of me when I achieved my licensed (CNA) and knowing that it does not stop there since I was already enrolled in a nursing program in College and eventually I will go back since I took a long break after she passed. In conclusion, I love what I do and work for me is (never) work since my passion is caring for the elderly (smile)-
I became a care giver because I was a recipient once and those care givers changed my life. I want to share the love and care I received from those ladies. The joy of being able to give the recipient the independence they need with my assistance in the comfort of their home or residence of their choice. I have been a care for 15year. I generally love to care for others. I have very good transportation with full coverage auto insurance.
