I love to help others!!For 28 years it has brought me joy to know that I do something everyday that puts a smile on an individuals face. I'm giving back what was given to me, at sometime or another we all need someone to care for us so its my duty to give back. Raising my kids and finishing school so i could do what i love. Hi , My name is Jasmine Williams I'm 26 years old. Coming back into the field after maternity leave. I have worked as a nursing assistant for 5+ years! I am very dedicated to the medical field and am also hoping it takes me a long way. I've been doing home care for about 16 years. I grown this passion for home care after my father fail sick and had no one to depend on. The most I enjoy about home care is seeing the joy in the faces of the client.

I became a Cna after taking care of my grandmother before she died from cancer. There was something so fullfilling about being able to give her care at her home in her last days. I have now been a cna for over 10 years. The hardest part of the job to me is not getting attached. I have a big heart and every patient I have ever had has been considered family to me.

I began my study in the science of nursing, applied myself academically, received scholarships and graduated with honors because I wanted a good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement. This is the statement many people use in the cover letter of a resume without understanding what it really means. During my tours of duty I had the pleasure of working with a diverse population of people who taught me everything I know today. I learned to listen, be prudent, patient, empathetic and humble, and build trusting relationships. I didn't learn this from professors in college, instructors during clinical rotations, nor preceptors who oriented me to a new health care position. I learned from our seniors who struggle with dementia, our children who struggle with genetic disease syndrome, and our family, friends and neighbors who struggle with mental illness. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work in the areas of geriatric, pediatric, and behavioral health nursing. The people in my care revealed to me without saying a word that the good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement that I was looking for was with me the whole time. I was the good job that needed to be done, and I have people like your loved ones to thank for that. Early in my career as a registered nurse I decided to focus on home care because it was depressing to be surrounded by sick people who had to wait for pain medication, and help with meals, bathing, grooming, and toileting, and I couldn't help all of them. Home care affords me the time to focus on my actual employer's business at hand. That is your loved one's needs and concerns.
