I'm a very upfront outgoing person. I've been a Certified Nurse Assistant since I was 18 yrs old. I was helping my Mom out with my Dad during his battle with lung cancer. I enjoyed giving my Dad one on one care. I cared for him while my Mother was at work. Allowing him to be comfortable in his own home. After he passed I went on to take the CNA, CMA, Phlebotomy class at Kilgore College. I enjoyed mostly the one on one time spent with my patients. Getting to know them. I've worked in Long term care facilities. Prisons, Home healths, Assisted living homes. I mostly enjoy going into the homes as a Companion. Just giving somebody the option of staying home. Helping them with all daily living routines. Allowing them to still stay active. Giving them respect, dignity. Also giving them all my attention.
I have trained and worked as a CNA for over 25 years, which includes hospice. My experience far out way my training because of my desire to continually expand my skills and training, which adds to my services rendered to clients. There is no illness or disease I have not worked with. I will be a welcome asset to any client who acquire my services.
I believe the qualities that make me a great caregiver are patience, compassion and attentiveness. These qualities are essential in assisting a patient at their bedside in their time of need. As stressful it can be for someone who no longer has the physical ability they once had, there needs to be someone who is understanding and empathetic to their desires to ensure comfort. My interest in becoming a caregiver comes from being the one my grandparents call on for help. I strongly believe in giving back to the community and equal effort for all ages of those in stand in the need of care. My enjoyment stems from seeing interacting and seeing my patients smile. I'm proud of the fact that step by step I'm making an impact on my patients as they always ask to see me again. Once I secure the peace of mind in my patients' families hearts and minds, my job is complete.
What makes me a great caregiver is because this is my God given Gift to care for His love ones. We each have a Gift that God has given us before we were born, and mines is to be able to care for the Elderly. At the end of the day, I get to go home knowing that I was given an opportunity, and the challenge and the blessing of being able to care for the Elderly. I think that's why I was put on this earth, and I think its' my calling like I said earlier in this statement. This is my purpose in life, and I am fulfilled by doing so. Below is a prayer I wrote. Our father, as I enter into the Homes of your love ones, I bring your presence with me. I speak your Peace, your Grace, your Mercy and your Perfect Order as I, the caregiver do your will. I acknowledge your power over all that will be spoken, though, decided, and done within these walls. Lord, I thank you for the Gifts that you have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in your Honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do your will. Anoint my projects, and ideas, so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring you Glory. Our Heavenly Father, when I as your Servant am confused; guide, and lead me. When I am burned out, infuse me with the Light of the Holy Spirit. May the work that I do, and the way that I do it, bring Faith, Joy, and a Smile to all of your love ones that I come in contact with each and every day. Thank you Heavenly Father for given me, the Caregiver an opportunity, and the challenge, and the Blessings of being able to care for, and to help your love ones, the ELDERLY. In Jesus name, I pray, AMEN So you see, this is who I am, and my Character, and who God created me to be! Thank you!
Helping people and keeping a smile on their face makes me a great caregiver. I became a great careprovider when my mother passed away in 2002. What I enjoy most about being a careprovider spending time with my patients and listening to the stories. I'm proud of myself for accomplishing getting my Medical Office Specialist Degree, becoming Braille Certified, and getting a degree in Computer Tech.

I have a background check on file with Smith County. I have been a CNA since 1997 and am very passionate about caregiving. I have taken care of clients in home, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and nursing homes. I enjoy home health the most because I provide my clients with the care that I would want my loved ones to be treated with. My greatest accomplishment in caregiving came when I combined my caregiving skills with being a veteran's advocate. There is no greater joy to me than to be able to provide the best care for the families loved ones. I've been told that they couldn't have picked a better caregiver!
Hi my name is Lynda Waters. I am 40 tears old and have been a Certified Nurse Aide for 11 years now. I love what i do because i enjoy working with people. There is so much that you learn from different people and that is what i love about it. I enjoy interacting with my patients because i love to see the smile on their faces and know that i have actually helped my patient. I have learned alot in my 11 years but there is so much more that i can learn because every patient is different and that is what excites me and knowing that i have helped my patient in a way that they needed the help. and to see the smile and the happiness on my patients face.
