I am very passionate about care giving. I began taking care of my wheel chair bound grandfather when I was 12 until he passed away in 2015. I have been caring for the elderly ever since. I have over 20 years caregiving experience. 16 years of memory care experience and 14 years of home health experience. I am CNA as well as BLS certified.
I've been in the medical field for over 29yrs, I have been a nurse assistant for 27 years and Medication Aide for 20 years and a medical assistant for 16 years and have always enjoyed working and helping the elderly, what I am most proud of I've been continuing my education. I also put two daughters though college.what I like most about being a care giver is to know I can make a difference in that person life,and knowing that I can give them hope and encouragement. Hourly rate can be negotiated.
As a caregiver/CNA I do this type of work because its what I enjoy. I'm a very caring person that has a deep compassion for the work I do. I treat my clients as my own. Companion is a must. I'm a very listening and understanding person that empathizes. VERY ENCOURAGING! Catch on very quickly, discerning new clients and surroundings (it tells me a little about their personalities and characteristics, what i may be up for). I've known since age 13 what I wanted to do. I'm a certified CNA, caregiver, HAHA. I've worked with many individuals in very different levels. I have 13+ in the medical field. I love challenges. I've worked with many challenging residents and clients in homes, out of homes, nursings facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies, dementia, Alzheimer's, etc. I'm willing and ready to take on whatever needs my attention. I can do ROM, participate in Dr appointments, etc. When and if hired, I will provide documentation.
I am skillful, dedicated and motivated person who can offer a high level of patient care with excellent organizational ability. I am wishing to offer a long term commitment to a future employer. I am focused, compassionate, caring, responsible and fast learner. Duties Assist clients with personal care, ( diapers and showers), bathing, dressing, mobility, assist in managing medications, checking blood pressure and blood sugar level, personal hygiene, planning and preparing meal, assist with feeding, transporting to appointments, Light Housekeeping (laundry, sweeping, dishes, vacuuming) Assist with grocery shopping, schedule and attend appointments (medical, hair) I have provided service such as. I love that I can put smiles on the faces of my clients by helping and assisting them in their ADL's, and Companionship. I am patient, compassionate, reliable, and dependable. I took great care of my father when he was riddled with cancer up until he passed on, so after that wonderful experience I decided to go into the Caregiving profession. Taking care of my Father however, is one of my greatest achievements that am proud of.
I am an empathic, compassionate and dependable caregiver. I became a caregiver after my own Mother was stricken with a rare form of Cancer. While I was there , I provided direct & indirect care and companionship everyday for two years. I love caregiving because it is my true passion. I earned my Nursing Assistant Certification right out of high school in 2005. I've also worked in several nursing homes in New Orleans, LA from 2005-2012.
