Caregiver for over 3-4 years. I have worked in healthcare field for 8 years in and out of hospital facilities as a contracted surgical tech. Hello! I'm Cassaundra! I use to be in the hospitality industry until Covid-19 started, I decided to not go back. I started working at Home Instead Senior Care at the end of 2020 and quickly discovered it was the best decision of my life! I'm on this earth to be of service, heal and nurture, it brings me pure joy! I have a background in nursing but did not complete the program. I'm at a point now in my life where I'm ready to continue my education and get my CNA and work up from there. I am a certified personal care assistant (PCA) and have worked with individuals with TBIs as well as children and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I'm also CPR/First Aid certified, and have extensive knowledge of food safety, and experience in cleaning/organizing (work for two maids and a mop, as well as Koontz condo cleaning service.) I'm also spiritual and have natural healing abilities and have been told on many occasions that I have huge healing energy as well as general physical energy. I'm bubbly and have a bright and optimistic outlook on life. I'm known to make my clients laugh! I will be an asset to any team because caregiving doesn't feel like work to me, I absolutely enjoy it, I'm great at it and I have open availability (no kids, unmarried) so I'll be all yours and truly dedicated. I love taking care of the sick, I am a very loving and caring person, I have been a CNA for 18 years n I plan to further my nursing career I am a mother of two boys n three grandkids I love taking care of my patients they are my family, Sometimes I go and beyond ,but that's ok, I know at the end of the day I know they are taking care of and they are happy n comfortable. Hi, I am a jovial, outgoing individual and I am a great care giver because I enjoy people and serving people where I can. I believe that being a caregiver allows me to truly serve people and help where help is needed the most and that is something that is very rewarding for me. I am also in school to become a Registered Nurse and being a caregiver has been an amazing stepping stone to my field of choice and I believe that it is continuously preparing me to be an amazing Nurse one day very soon. One moment in my care giving experience that I am most proud of is when I was caring for a woman in the late stages of Parkinson's disease. She was difficult to understand and it was difficult for past caregivers to communicate with her. I initiated teaching her Yes and No in American Sign Language and she was able to use her better hand to respond to questions that I asked. I also initiated the company getting a communication device for her as to provide a better route of communication for future caregivers. Hello there, I'm a 28 year old passionate Nursing Assistant. I'm a military brat who love taking care of people. I originally fell into this field when my grandmother got sick and was put in a nursing home because my family was just to busy at the time to take care of her. I one day popped into the nursing home and quickly saw that they were neglecting her. At that point I was so furious that I told her she was coming back home and I would take care of her. At that point I vowed to myself that I would try to help some how to keep people out of nursing homes and stay in the comfort of their own home. So I guess I do this for two reasons.. My own personal promise to keep my clients home as long as possible and that I just love the feeling of helping.
