Some people ask me, "why are you a caregiver?" I smile and simply respond, "I care to care."
Caring for others has not only created an occupation for me, but also a way of life.
Waking up in the morning and knowing that I am on my way to make someone feel better, either by assisting with daily living activities, by listening, or by telling jokes that make a client smile, makes me feel a great sense of accomplishment and joy.
I have been a caregiver for over six years and have never had a dull day since I began. Each day provides me with an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone, and I cannot think of anything more rewarding.
I am an empathetic, forthright, punctual, honest, and patient individual who maintains professionalism at all times. I believe that these fundamental characteristics put me on level ground with the clients I have cared for throughout the years, and with their families and loved ones.
Since childhood I have wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and being a caregiver I can make an impact that goes above and beyond that goal.
One of the best qualities that I have as a caregiver is a sense of empathy. Whether I'm caring for a small child in a daycare or helping an elderly person recover from surgery, a sense of personal understanding and connection is vital. I understand the elderly may feel vulnerable, scared, confused and uncomfortable, and being able to identify and allay those fears can create a sense of calm and trust for those that I care for. Patience is also vital to the role of caregiver, I'm able to separate myself from potential anger and resentment and not take the situation personally, all while still providing high-quality care services. I can keep calm and soothe them in their time of distress or anxiety and being a a voice of encouragement. I'm reliable because I know that they depend on us and often feel a sense of personal attachment. I'm continually on time, particularly if administering food or medical care.
The job of a caregiver is challenging yet rewarding. I do this because I am following a dream of helping others. Providing care to people, who cannot look after themselves, while maintaining their dignity, is an accomplishment in itself. I thrive helping people who cannot help themselves.
I am good listener , I took my job seriously and always I'd like to help people when they need help and I cared to people I work for them always I am on time and I liked my job thank you

Hi, I have over 10+ years of experience as a HHA, PCA and CNA. I like assisting others who may not be able to do the things done previously. I possess a host of skills and can assist with all ADL; which include taking vital signs, B/P, TPR and Oxygen levels.
I will also remind you to take your meds daily as prescribed by your physician. I am professional, get to work on time and responsible; I also get along well with others in all age groups.
If there are abnormalities in daily care, will notify RN for further instructions.
I am always delighted to be around people, I am a caring, loving and joyful person. This goes to show how I have been in this profession for over 17 years. When I was a young woman I took care of my grandmother when my parents were not around for some time until she passed away. Having that experience showed me how excited I get when I am able to help make someone's life better. The thing I enjoy the most is when the people I am caring for share their personal experiences, personal background, and how they came about in their life. A personal achievement of mine that I am very proud of is when I cared for a family's loved one and they showed their appreciation towards me through a letter of appraisal when I finished working with them.
