I am 48 years old. I was raised in a very strict Christian home and I hold on to those teachings. I am reliable, prompt and my specialty is working with older individuals. My mother was a geriatric nurse so I spent most of my time as a child sitting at work with my mother in nursing homes talking to the elderly people and getting them things they needed. So I am no stranger to caring for older people. I love it too! I am at my happiest when I can just sit with them and let them talk. They love to tell stories a and I love to listen! I am trustworthy. I will not take things that don't belong to me I have no history of that either. I don't get into trouble or cause problems. I would never hurt anyone. Never have either. I am honest and am more than happy to be placed on camera while working with anyone. I have nothing to hide so that does not concern me. I will care for anyone's family as if they were my own.

I am an excellent cook, housekeeper, I have a compassionate heart for people, I am dependable, and value and take pride in the job I commit myself to. In addition to my extensive work experience with at risk children and teens, when I was 17 years old, I had the opportunity to gain the experience to care for my grandfather after he had a stroke and again as an adult; I had to care for my mother after she had a stroke until her untimely passing. I have volunteered as a coach in the Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department, was a Sunday school Teacher, volunteered with Habitat for Humanities, and with St. Jude Homeless shelter feeding the homeless. I am American Red Cross trained and certified in infant/child and adult CPR first aide and AED. I am knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher.

Caregiving is endlessly rewarding. It gives a purpose by providing a way to help others. I have 9 years of experience working in the caregiving field. I do what I love, and love what I do.

Taking care of people puts a smile on my face. I'm a hard worker and I like to do it right. I love being a caregiver because it helps a lot of families who do not have the time to do so and it relieves a lot of stress from families to have someone watching their loved one. I have two kids of my own and they are my greatest achievement.

I am a student studying medical assisting and am experienced in care giving as well as being knowledgeable and having experience in caring and helping those who struggle with addiction. I am good with managing my time and keeping track of multiple tasks at one time. I can manage and dispense medication as written or directed as well.
