I believe that a great caregiver has to have patience . I've worked for over 20 yrs. Experience in Health care. I worked for St. David 's medical center in Austin TX for six years. I worked in the rehab unit for Nero patience. I also worked for Clinton Peters. He was a quad. I had to transfer ,bath, digital stem him ,give meds, Cook and feed him. I took him to hospital appointment or wherever he wants to go that day.. I 've worked in several nursing homes also. My dad had brain surgery so for the last five years I've taken care of him.
Being a caregiver is about truly enjoying the satisfaction of learning to love and care for someone Since the age of 13 I always loved being with my grandma, and going to work with her at the nursing home. Taking care of people is one of the things in my life that makes me happy. I've worked at an assisted living facility, and did Respite care for a little girl named Juliana with Rett Syndrome. I have worked many jobs in my 19 years, but becoming a blessing in someone else's life is what I am most proud of.
I am a recent college graduate of Texas Woman's University and I obtained a Bachelor's of Arts in Dance and a minor in Education. With this degree I am also a certified teacher in the state of Texas. The reason I chose this career is because I love helping people whether it's a student or someone else outside of the classroom that needs more one on one help or companionship. Home health care is very satisfying to me especially when you can be that person to ensure a client has a good day . Building positive relationships with them is very beneficial for both you and them because you get more of a sense of their likes and dislikes. I plan to continue my education to get my Masters in Special Education and home health care will also be something I plan to do more of.
I take pride in taking care of others. It's very rewarding to me as I practically raised myself. I have 2 beautiful children that are my pride and joy. I had a day care business that was extremely successful that I had to leave when I moved from MN to Texas. I will put anybody's needs before mine always. I adore people & care for people like no other.
I've been a licensed cosmotoligst since 1987. In 2006 I sold my beauty shop and decided to stay home to take care of my grandmother, who raised me. I did all the housework, inside and out. I cooked for her, did her laundry, drove her wherever she wanted to go, ran errands helped her pay bills, took her to all Dr appointments, made sure she took her medicine, bathed her, helped her dress, shampooed and set her hair once a week...just anything she wanted and needed me to do I have done for her the past 12 years. She would tell everybody she could that livening with me was like being in a five star hotel. She was 92 when she passed away this past June, and I miss her very much. I often wonder about people that don't have anyone to take care of them when they can no longer do for their self. I want to b able to keep helping seniors stay in their home as long as they want...I am dependable and trustworthy, and willing to be a helpful companion.
Hello I am a widow and seeking to care for elderly in their home.Elderly care has been a passion of mine since I was 18 when I started working in Nursing hOmes and found that most of the owrkers only want a pay check and had little concern for the health and well being of their patients. It was at that point I decided I would go above and beyond the call of duty for each and every one of my patients. Quality of ife is so important and holding dignity is upmost in my care plans.
I'm a great caregiver because I love to provide the best possible care for Seniors. I live in Lewisville, Texas and have lived here since 2001. I have love and compassion for each client that I care for. We also are reaching that stage in life that will soon require someone to care for us. My theory is that if I provide good care for a Client then someday if I reach that point the same will be done for me.
I am a single father of a son and I live and teach my son by the golden rule, treat others as you want someone to treat you. My name is James and I have been in the business of helping seniors for fifteen years. I have loved every second and hour that I can put a smile on some family's face because they are thrilled at the love and attention that I give their loved one. Let me help lift the burden off your family in such a fragile stage of the aging process.
