I have been a pastor's wife for 40 years and I love people. I have served people young and old in various capacities over the years, but for the last 10 years I have found great joy in serving the elderly. I have experience providing companionship, cooking meals, providing transportation, running errands, administering meds, staying overnight, and making my clients' quality of living the best I can. I have numerous happy clients/references and I have never been asked to leave any of my sitting positions. I have also served as a volunteer hospital chaplain and have been trained and received certification from the Southern Baptist Association "Hands on Ministry". I look forward to serving more clients as I relocate to the DFW area to be close to my children and grandchildren.
I have been caring for people for what seems like all my life. Since 11 years old I hehelped take care of my cousin that has arthritis and then again worked for her when we were older. I am sensitive to others needs whether it be physically or emotionally. On a professional level I have 6 years of Home Health and just got certified a Nurse Aide. I have worked for a nursing home in Longview for one year. I love the work I do.
I am a licensed Registered Nurse, with 20+ yr. experience in patient care. I worked 10yr. in the Home Health field, providing care for home bound seniors and disabled patients. I also served 12yr. as a licensed foster parent for special needs children. I have travelled as a Missionary Nurse with Healthcare Ministries, since 2006. I have professional references available upon request.

I feel I am more prepared to take care of my patients.

I believe in providing elderly with quality and passionate care. I've been doing this line of work for approximately 10 years. Throughout my work history I've learned that too do this line of work you have to be dedicated and compassionate, and I'm just that. I enjoy being able too bless the elderly with laughter, a genuine heart, and a room full of smiles, even when going through my own trials. I'm a honest, dependable, and reliable caregiver and I love being apart of providing families with the peace of mind of knowing their loved ones are well taken care of.
What makes me a great caregiver is my caring personality, the will to want to help others, and my willingness to make a change. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is know that I made a difference in that persons life. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is becoming a mother, and also applying to nursing school. Although I didn't complete it, I am determined to go back.
I am a 26 year old woman who is committed to helping others, especially the elderly and children. I have prior experience with working as a provider/caregiver.. I believe firmly in being respectful and considerate of others' needs and feelings and wishes. I feel that you should always be gentle and understand that being a caregiver means not only that you help care for the individual but care ABOUT them as well. I think of it as more of a companion than hired help. I currently fo not have any medical certifications or licenses or degrees but do plan on beginning college in yhr fall. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
My compassion is what makes me stand out as a caregiver. I enjoy making an impact on my client's lives and allowing loved ones to have peace of mind, but most of all I feel honored to get to know them personally. Going above and beyond for my clients comes natural to me and I truly enjoy doing it. My biggest personal achievement is I've always kept my client's well being priority number one, never letting money be my focus. This is not a job for me, I feel it's my calling in life.
I currently work with a special needs child. I'm looking for something else only because I am moving due to an unfortunate situation. The love I have for my special needs patient is unbelievable. I would like to stay in the same work field and be able to give care to others that can't care for themselves!
