I was called in this field of work by God I love what I do and when I do it. I love embracing people with my smile and encouraging people that WE CAN DO IT. I graduated high school and I wanted to go to school for music but I loved taking care of people so I went for my CNA . I took care of my mom before her transition. My personal achievement is knowing that my resident is happy and the end of my work day.
Retired RN with 30 years of nursing experience, currently working as client/advocate and caregiver for patients with dementia. My nursing confidence derives from my thirty years of nursing . My experience as a RN included many years as a Critical Care Nurse and as a Casemanger for Medicare and Medicaid Agencys. My father had Alzheimer's so I do know how challenging care for your family or friend can be with this disease. I also currently work as an care giver and advocate for assisted living and private community homes . My minimum charge is 17.50 hr for four hours or more with or 45.00 dollars two hour minimum . If required to travel more then 10 miles I charge 50 cents per mile to and from clients home. I am also available for private sitting for hospital care overnight or 8 hr shifts . I graduated from Texas Christian University with a BSN in nursing .
I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I had several resident tell me that I'm wonderful, and I had a tearful moment. It's a blessing to hear positive thinking from a client. I'm a certified assistant living manager, private caregiver, and studied massage technique . Thank You.
As a former public school teacher, agency staff member and school administrator, I have had the opportunity to serve families in many capacities. As a child of a parent with Alzheimer's, I have care-giving experience. Additionally, with a psychology degree, I have had the opportunity to apply strategies and best practices in working with individuals that exhibit challenging behaviors. My special education background allows me to understand how to work with PT and OT needs. Recently, I cared for a gentlemen in his home fulltime through Right At Home agency. He just transitioned to memory care. I received caregiver of the month recently. My service at Home Instead allowed me many great experiences with clients from various backgrounds and needs. I was awarded Caregiver of the Quarter by the agency Dec. 2018. It was an honor and especially when it was my pleasure to serve them. I am very reliable and dependable and enjoy immensely helping families. Caring for others has been my life's focus. I enjoy preparing meals and ensuring clients have a quality life with dignity. I am healthy and exercise frequently to stay strong mentally and physically for my clients.
I am a loving and caring person who has the heart and compassion of the people I work for. I will do mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights.
I am a very reliable caregiver with over 15years of experience(the experience sums up my overall performance) I have patience, very attentive, compassion, dependable and trustworthy... for many years, going back to as young as 8years old I've always had a heart to reach out and help others with greater needs than my own. When I realize just how much my efforts touched hearts and made a difference I made it my duty to continue pushing forth in assisting others with their personal care needs. I've cared for disabled children, childcare license/daycare, nursing homes, special needs facilities, retirement homes, and in home care... I've had many opportunities to redirect my passions/careers and I've found nothing else more heart filling for me than my duties as a caregiver.... I've always been told "any type of work you do, if your heart is into it, that's where you belong" and to sum it all up... I enjoy making a difference for the better in others lives!!! I'm proud to know I'm still accomplishing my mission in seeing to it another life has hope for a greater day!
I have 4yrs experience as a caregiver.. I took up care job when my grandmother was sick and needed support, I took very good care of my grandma. And that was how I starting working as a caregiver which I feel it's a way of giving back to the society in a kindly manner. And I am about to finish my nurse aide training program at the advanced healthcare career institute of Dallas. I have worked with Denton state supported living and I am passionate about caring for others just like my own blood .
1. What actually makes me a great caregiver is my willingness to serve and I believe it's my calling. 2. I became a caregiver because, I have great compassion for individuals in need of personal one on one care. 3. Their are several reasons why I like being a caregiver. The first reason is that I am able to be there for individuals that are in need of help. Another reason I enjoy being a caregiver is because, My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the cancer went into remission shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with dementia. I eventually had to move her into my home and I realized how self fulfilling and rewarding it is to serve others with sincere humility. I feel that as a caregiver each individuals that I care for should receive the best of care, compassion, and the best quality of care that life has to offer. 4. My most greatest achievement is yet to come because, I'm looking to achieve more tomorrow than I have today. Life is a lifelong learning process and when you think that you have achieved your greatest achievement there is still room left for more improvement.
My name is Diane! I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of seven. In the year of 1979 I was a caregiver to my terminally ill grandmother. After she passed away in the year of 1980 I then further my education in health field to learn all I can about caring for the elderly. I attended a class in 1981 after she expired and I've been working in a he field since. Also in 2013 I for a caregiver for my Mom when she passed away in May 2013 and a caregiver for my daughter in 2013 when she flatlined and still her caregiver. So this is a passion I've had since I graduated in 1976 and still do the best in it. I have outstanding references upon request!
