The reason why I became a caregiver because I love providing home care-giving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. What I like about being a caregiver is the smile on their faces and my personal achievements that I'm proud of is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. My name is Shawna White and I have over 10 years of experience in being a caregiver. I'm 51 years old and a mother of 3 girls.I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients’ lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives.I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh.
I became a caregiver because my grandfather was ill when I was young I had to learn to assist with him I love to help people I started out as a CNA and then a med aid and now I am currently trying to get into RN program I am striving to be the best so that I can always be there to help people
Looking back now as a child growing up , Grand Mother passed when I was an infant so missed that precious connection . So as a young child was always seeking out the elderly and assisting those in need . Would enjoy sharing in activity of planting flowers or running errands or house keeping , Always been very Compassionate and truely enjoying the company and friendships made along the way . I am a Certified CNA With Over 20 yrs Experience . Have many great referances . I have worked in Nursing homes , Hospice and Home health care agencys and Private care . I have truely enjoyed the friendships made and working with the most loving wonderful famiies .
I am a great caregiver because I love helping people. It's a lot of small things that make a big difference. I wanted to be a caregiver because my parents & older relatives needed help and I was there for them. Being a caregiver I get to hear stories from years ago things that may not be in history books. I am proud of all my friendships through the years and still remains in contact with them even friendships that began when I was five.
I am a mother of three grown children and a grandmother. I grew up caring for an aunt with severe retardation. So I learned from an early age to be a care giver. I was a care giver for a lady with fibromyalgia and lyme disease. I left to take care of my grandson full time. Now that he is getting ready for school I am able to work out of the house again. I cook and can prepare special diets. Low carb, salt, sugar etc.
I became a C.N.A in 2003. I love to care for others. I have try other work like Retail and Fast Food. I always seem to come back to healthcare. My Father and Grand Father both were in Nursing Homes so I know first hand what's its like to call on help when family can't always be there when they want.

I enjoy helping anyone in anyway I can. I have a passion for people. I have been taking care of my mother for over 13 years. I am proud about the way I make my mother as well as others feel that they are loved and cared by someone like myself.
