I have worked as a caregiver in homes, nursing homes and hospice care for over 20+ years. I love helping people and treating people as I would want someone to treat my own loved ones. I have been working in the healthcare field for 20yrs, and have work and all kinds of settings with many different clients and different stages of health. I became a caregiver because I like providing companionship and getting to know people. I like seeing positive results from my clients and their family. I am proud receiving my certification in Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care Technician from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I am also National Registered Certified Medical Assistant.

I love to provide a one on one experience with clients and to give them the special care and attention they deserve.

1. what helps me be a great caregiver is that i listen to my patients, I help them when they need help and comfort them. I'm a great listener and I love to talk. 2. what attracted me into becoming a caregiver is that i love helping people in need. I used to take care of my mom when she became ill with lupus. I would to bathe her, get her dressed, put her into bed. Helping her made me realize i love helping others who need help. 3. what i enjoy most about being a caregiver i that i get to hear my patients stories. Its very interesting to see what all in life that they encountered. I love seeing the smile on my patients faces and if i made them smile with the gratitude i give them then that makes me happy. 4. My personal achievement i am proud of is how well i took care of my mom that led me to who i am now; a Nationally Certified Phlebotomist. As a phlebotomist, i get to take patients blood and catch their illnesses before it progresses.

I am very calm and collective, I love to bring light into dark situations. What attracted me to being a caregiver is when I first started taking care of my friends grandma, and that's when I knew I would enjoy it. I enjoy being able to do everything I can to make them feel comfortable and be able to feel relax. One personal achievement I am proud of is graduating high school, because I believed I couldn't push through but I made it.

I have 3 years of caregiving experience. Knowing that I am helping make someone's life even the slightest bit easier has always felt so rewarding to me. I believe I am a very patient and understanding person as well as performing great under pressure and I feel that is what makes me a great fit to be a caregiver.
