I love being a,care giver because I enjoy helping others. I also like the feeling of them knowing I'm here to help them through anything. I have learned alot from becoming a caregiver. It has made me a stronger, very kind, noble person.

My name is Susan Kiarie. I have been a caregiver and a Medication Aide for the past 17 years, both in facilities and in-home private care, especially with different forms of dementia like Alzheimers, Parkinson and lewy body. After the diagnosis of our mother with Alzheimers, I realized how much care she needed and in return I knew this is what I wanted to do. What I enjoy the most about caregiving, is seeing the relief of families when I am there to help, in the comfort of their homes. I use to take up for the disable kids while in school and I use to help the elders with taking their grocery bags in the house , help them walk if they had diffculty walking and etc .
