I am very compassionate and I love to talk with people. The elderly always have very interesting stories. I became a caregiver because I want to help others by being able to stay in thier homes and live a normal life.

I helped care for my grandfather from the time my grandmother passed and started off with light duties, such as chaffeuring him around, running errands, preparing meals, and helping him get undressed and in bed. Over the course of my care, my duties expanded to helping with medication, scheduling appointments, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and showering/bathing. I am a very caring and loving person and find it easy to get along with anyone I meet. I pride myself in always seeing the best in people and trying to understand an individual's point of view. Since I was a young boy, I cared deeply about the well-being of others and making people feel comfortable. I love connecting with people and learning and sharing their interests. I'm proud to say that my grandfather lived to be 84 and enjoyed a comfortable six years under my care when the doctors believed he would quickly follow his wife.

I am very dependable patient compassionate and trustworthy. When I was in my twenties I began working at a nursing home. I was nervous and scared because I had never worked with elderly people, but to my surprise I learned a lot and got very good at what I learned about taking care of my patients. I loved my job getting to know my patient talking laughing and consoling them when they were sad. I worked in private homes as well. It was such a joy!

I love being able to help people. I know that we all need it at some points in our lives. I also enjoy talking to people and hearing stories of their lives. I am compassionate and caring. I can cook. And I'll enjoy finding out what kind of meals they like. I helped take care of 3 of my grandparents and enjoyed every moment of it. I also worked in an assisted living home for a few months, before getting a full time office job. I hope that I will be able to care for your person so that you can have some rest. I have 10+ years of healthcare experience. I enjoy working with and helping people. I have compassion and understanding for the patience I work with. I have Cna, medication aide and pharmacy technician experience in the nursing home and hospital setting.

I enjoy getting people personalized care and getting to know someone so that I may provide that kind of care. I originally became a certified nursing assistant because I wanted to go in to be helping profession and I figured it was a good way to know if nursing was where I wanted to go but offered to help school along the way. My favorite thing about being a CNA is the wide variety of people I need and the stories I get to hear them tell. It is very enriching to get to know somebody it be a part of their life and be able to help them as well. I think the biggest achievement that I am most proud of is continuing with my education even after realizing nursing isn't where I wanted to be and choosing social work through that.

I love to take care of those that are in need. I got into caregiving when my husband became ill with Multiple Sclerosis. I understand having a love one who is sick and needs help first hand. I have worked in assisted living facilities, state schools, home health and doing private care. I am Cpr certified . I have dealt with disabled and dementia clients. I will treat your family member as one of mine.
