I have a great personality with people I come incontact with. What attracted me to become a care giver is the love I have for the elderly. My interest in caregiving started at an early age. Every sunday after church I would visit the sick and shut in members and others who requested prayers. I then attended a Medical Specialty High School and was involved in volunteering at local Adult Day Cares. When I was about 15 years of age my grandmother started developing Dementia and shortly after had a stroke. I became her main caregiver; cooking, cleaning, reading to her when not in school. I love the fact that I get to make a difference in someones day to day life. I tried many different ventures and always ends back into caregiving. This is what I'm meant to do and I'm good at it and enjoy doing it.

I have had to deal with several loved ones with serious illness and chose to take care of them myself. i feel its very important that my clients feel loved and worthy. i like to keep a smile on their faces. i make sure my clients know they are not in this alone and its very important to keep their moral up. its been medically proven that most patients going thru a serious illness do much better and recover quicker if you can keep their moral up. if i can help do that then i feel im doing my job correctly.

I was a care giver for my mother first . After many complications due to diabetes she ended loosing her sight, it was a really hard time and I wanted for her a person who treated her with respect first, and it was really hard to find someone , so I quit my job and took her care in my hands. Being with her in those moments, caring for her needs, being her eyes, made me understand that it takes heart and love to care for another person. I decided to get back to work and I would like to use the experience and all I learned to help someone else and at the same time earn a living.
