Easy going, caring person. I've been caregiving for about 10 years now. I love what I do. I take pride in what I do. No task is too big or too small. I use to be a store manager band I somehow just crossed over into caregiving and I never looked back. What I enjoy most is helping people that need our help. Elders and hospice patients. I've even worked helping out the blind and getting them back on track with everyday living. So far my personal achievements would be that I have, my medical assistant program certificate front and back office,, CPR certified, and I'm now taking online courses for Medical Billing and coding. My main goal is to retire in hospital type environment.

I Am a very honest fun loving Caring Lady, I enjoy putting that smile on everyone's face, I have always been very interested in learning all about my patients life and experiences I find it to be very fascinating, I went into the nursing field because I love caring for the elderly. I enjoy most about being a caregiver when I see the smile on my patients face as I walk into the door, I love talking about their life and their family history, the patient is the most important. My personal achievement was when I was caring for a gentleman in San Jose he had just had a major back surgery they glued his nerves together so he was pretty much paralyzed when i started caring for him, the doctors told him that he would not walk again, well I was with him for almost a year in a half I did physcial therapy with him every single day we went on walks etc.. I am very proud to say this gentleman is walking, dancing and driving he is now 82 years of age..

I started out as a CNA when I was 16 years old in a convalescent home, I was in the Army from 1975 to 1978. I used the GI Bill to become an LVN. I've worked in LTC, rehabilitation and acute care settings. you name it I've probably done it. My father was a minister and my Mom always wanted to be a nurse, however she kept busy being a ministers wife, I took care of both of them in their last days. I now prefer to take care of people in their homes, which I believe is the ideal setting and much less stressful.

Ever since I was young I volunteered in hospice facility's dressing up as Santa passing out presents to singing Christmas carols to residents. I have worked in bedded facility's assisting multiple residents as well. I grew up with a grandmother that had Rheumatoid Arthritis and her hands were deformed from it. So I had to help her do certain daily activities due to the the crippling affect it had on her hands. I'm a happy person who enjoys music listening, writing recording, reading as well. I have always had a giving heart and wanted to be of help in some way and helping others live out daily needs is a great way to accomplish that. A personal achievement I'm proud of is I have 2 classes left and I'll have two A.S degrees from MJC. Another moment I'm proud of is my Hobby of creating YouTube videos I landed on national television in a music video and was seen on Vh1 and Vh1Soul.

I am a fun and outgoing social person . I enjoy helping with taking care of the elderly because I enjoy hearing about their own experiences with what they did in their own lives and hearing their own stories about how they grew up what attracted me to become a caregiver is I enjoy helping individuals in a time of need where they feel most vulnerable and need someone to talk to and socialize with when they feel alone. I enjoy being a caregiver because I find this job really rewarding and fun. I enjoy spending time with my patcients and talking to them about life and old movies and hobbies that they enjoy doing on a daily basis. A personal achievement that I am currently proud of is going back to school to pursue my dream of being a LVN

I became a care provider at a young age. I have helped provide care to two members of my family. I enjoy being a care provide because being able to help someone and hopefuly put a smile on there face is what makes it worth it. We all need help sometimes. I feel that I am a good care provider beacuse I have a big heart and I enjoy helping other. * I will be starting my CNA training starting in Febuary to help better myself and to be able to provide better care.

The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.

I like to play, I'm friendly, loving and very compassionate. My mother passed away some years ago which made me come back to my first love in helping people who really need help, I love my mother she was my best friend and a mother. I enjoy the companionship because most of the elderly friends are passed on or to sick to talk and I would love to be someone they can trust. My personal achievement is all the other clients I have worked with will tell you how kind and giving of a person I am, I stand out of the crowd of caregivers.
