I've been certified for almost three years now but have been giving direct patient/ resident care for about two years. I've worked in just about every setting. From hospital surgical floors to Emergency Rooms to Assisted Living homes to Long Term Care Facilities. I will always listen to the needs of your family member and put their wishes above all. I have enjoyed being a care taker long before I was certified and have known from a very young age that this is what I'm meant to do. I plan on going back to school after taking a break to get my RN.

I have over 3 years of caregiving experience. My compassion, respectfulness, patience and my attentiveness makes me a great caregiver! The main thing that attracted me to be a caregiver is how rewarding it is. To know I make a difference in someone life definitely motivates me to be the best I can be! Building relationships is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver! One of my achievements I am really proud of is stepping outside my comfort zone and doing something I never thought I'd do! Being a caregiver has been a life changing experience!

I am cna certified and also am cpr certified. I have been working in the health field since 15 starting as a dietary aide then going on to laundry and housekeeping . Then was put through classes for cna I have been certified for 14 years as a aide and I absolutely love meeting new people helping others and connecting with people as friends not just a caregiver as well . I do not have a drivers license but that absolutely does not stop me from being responsible and dependable when I say I will be or am suppose to be somewhere I will be there most times even earlier then said . I am still able to always grab a few things needed from the grocery store or Walmart as I myself always am needing things. So please don't count me out on the fact that I don't have a license I am still a very dependable and loving caring person who can still do the tasks asked with out one. A little about my family I am a mother of two a daughter who is a senior this year and a son who is in 4th grade my son has autism and adhd so I am also experienced in that and I am also expecting one on the way due in February. I've worked with multiple people, that never failed to mention how much of a delight I am to have around. Not only do I make sure that someone feels okay, I don't mind cleaning up any messes. In my spare time if I'm not walking my dog I'm always at work. I don't mention on my resume but I also do help babysit my families children. I have great people skills and I love working in a healthy fun environment.

Being a caregiver to me means so much more than most! I truly feel that my purpose n life is to care for others to help others! I enjoy helping the elderly and anyone in need for that matter. I have experience working in in home, nursing , home and hospital settings , assisting Alzheimer's /dementia patients . I believe that I am a great caregiver because I genuinely care and do my job with love and empathy , I am very patient and down to earth. What has helped me become a great caregiver is that I understand that these are real people that have lived lives that they are no longer in control of so that is where me being patient comes into play because I understand that it can be very confusing and frustrating to suddenly need help. I have about a year left before I am a registered nurse, I'm 20 years old, and I decided I wanted to work in healthcare in high school and have been a CNA ever since! I prefer in home care because I find it easier to work with my school schedule, and i prefer the one on one time with my patient!
