I love taking care of others. I love ensuring my patients families that they are in the best hands possible. I am passionate about my patients health, and their overall well-being. I am a caring soul, and often times find myself being an over achiever with absolutely no regret when it comes to those in my life. I lost my grandpa years ago and it was one of the hardest things for me. He resided in a nursing home that he wasn't getting the best care from. It broke me in every way possible. When we went to take him out, he was put on hospice the day of. We then lost him the day after. I became adamant and insisted on giving the best care in the healthcare setting. I started working in the nursing field, and refused to give anything less then my best effort. I strive to make families feel different than mine did. I go beyond expectation to make my patients feel loved, and taken care of.

I have 5 plus experience as a caregiver. I started out working with individuals with developmental disabilities and eventually got my home health certification. I have a passion for assisting individuals especially if it means keeping them in their homes for as long as possible.

I became a caregiver almost 6 yrs ago after becoming a Medical Assistant. I have taken care of many different families and helped them with their parents needs. Hello, my name is Sierra. I am 24 years old and I am currently at teacher for the 2 1/2-3 year old classrooms. Ever since I was in boarding school, I knew I wanted to help people. I learned quickly that I was interested and obsessed with Psychology. I started to recognize certain traits that I have, that makes me eager to care for people. Some of those traits are, I make sure to not just listen but that I heard exactly what is being said to me. Another, is that I am compassionate and patient. When people think about psychology they don't necessarily think of a care giver. I learned that wasn't true after spending four months, living with my grandmother after she had major back surgery. I helped bathe, feed, clean her house and keep her company. I did everything she needed me to do and more. Recently, since working at KinderCare, that notion as been proven wrong to me again. When interacting with my students, I am more aware of my tone, body language, their body language and our surroundings. Being able to build a relationship, to the point where I know the difference between when my students are crying because they are sick, hungry, thirsty or hurting. I never thought I would be able to do that. It is a moment of clarity, that working with people. Not just working with them but caring for others is what I am meant to do with my life. Giving my love, care, support and friendship is what I was born to do. I promise to love and care for each one of my clients.

From the moment I graduated high school, all I have wanted to do is take care of people. I have 13 years experience as an EMT, 22 years experience working on homecare, 2 years experience in surgery, and 7 years experience in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, Throat specialty). I also have over 2 years experience teaching both the administrative and clinical sides of the Medical Assisting program. I love taking care of people and working independently.
