I became interested in caregiving when I first worked in a nursing home doing housekeeping. I saw how nurses neglected the residents and hated it! I became more interested when I was given the opportunity to care for a man who couldn't be mobile due to robbers beating him up.. I made his meals, did his laundry, houeswork, and fed his dog. I also gave him piece of mind enough to sleep. For the first time in months, he slept a full twelve hours in bed (he'd been sleeping in a chair). These simple things mean a lot to someone who can't do them anymore. I'm dependable, trustworthy, patient and, also a mom which means, taking care of others comes naturally..

I love helping people in need, regardless of how little or big the issue. I have been a Caregiver since the age of 10 when I started babysitting. I am patient, caring, a good listener, compassionate and just enjoy helping people live an easier life. I enjoy the company of the senior generation, I think they deserve to live a happy, healthy, easier life as they get older, they have earned that privilege and I will do whatever it takes for them to live independently for as long as they are able. It's not about the money in this profession, it's about caring, compassion and helping those in need.

Hello, I am a full time student majoring in Nursing, and I have always had a passion for working with elderly patients! I have worked with caregiving agencies and in home private families as well. I am very patient, social and loving helping people. What attracted me to caregiving is seeing that if one is given a little bit MORE attention that they can sometimes display a change of behavior .

I believe that people are a gift, I have an ability to bring the best out in people. I am able to listen and be able to tell my own stories to help people relate to me. I wanted to become a caregiver because my grandmother was in a nursing home and I saw how badly most people treated her and I wanted to be a person that others could count on.
