I love taking care of people, providing them with better life choices because I'm there to care for them when other times they may be afraid to step too far out of their home, for fear they won't make it back inside or fear of the world and people in it. I want to be there to give them that security blanket and secure them in their daily activities because I know they like to gain that self independence and do things more independently without having to sit around and not get what they wanted done. It helps to promote longer health and happiness from within. Something that so many take for granted. I love caring for the elderly and those that are less fortunate.

1 thing that attracted me to be a caregiver is just the thought of helping others & putting a smile on their face I really enjoy it. I started my career at NHC working in memory care & I loved it there the residents I had were so sweet. It was a tough job at times but I enjoyed it for the most part. I recently switched over to home care & I love this even more especially getting to go run errands with my clients & enjoying the day & sitting & talking to them & finding out things they like to do & how they grew up.

Unlike most "sitters", Anne took the time to work on games, puzzles, go over magazines with her, as well as move her into common areas which were calmer and more social than the memory care areas. She has been very caring and considerate of our needs as well as my mother's. Anne has only been available to us part-time but we would have hired her for full time in a heart-beat had she been available. She is excellent!

Hello! My name is Amber Wang. I'm 27 years old. I got my start in caregiving at just 13 years old when I began helping my grandmother care of my great uncle who had severe Down's Syndrome. He required catheter care, cleaning of his tracheostomy, feeding, bathing, transferring, etc. As my grandmother aged I helped with meal prep, medication reminders, giving her insulin shots as well as helping with oxygen as she also has COPD. I also have experience with Dementia and blindness due to cataracts and Macular degeneration.
