Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.

Skills & Certifications: ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Licensed Nursing Assistant, HIV/AIDS, Vision and Eye Disorders, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Skin Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Palliative Care, Orthopedic Care, Hearing Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Depression, Dementia, COPD, Cancer Recovery, Cardiovascular Disorders, Blood Disorders, Arthritis, Alzheimer's Disease, Diabetes, Hospice Care, Neurological Disorders, Parkinson's Disease, Renal and Urological Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Stroke

I have become, what I consider myself to be, an amazing caregiver. I have a huge heart and i tend to put everyone I care for above and beyond everything else. I listen carefully to peoples needs as well as wants and do my very best to provide what is expected by them or the families NO QUESTION. I decided I wanted to be a caregiver at a young age. My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and everyone in my family brushed it off as just 'old age'. Well, I wanted to learn more about this dementia and see what I could do to help better her life and the lives of others in this predicament. What I am proud of most is all the positive feedback from families as well as co-workers, managers included, about how great I am and how lucky a place or family is to have me. I have many personal achievements but the one I am most proud of, is I will ALWAYS and forever as long as I am caring for loved ones of my own or others, put quality over quantity. I have learned that people need good care no matter the life span, young or old.

Skills & Certifications: Stroke, Skin Disorders, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Respiratory Disorders, Vision and Eye Disorders, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Renal and Urological Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Parkinson's Disease, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Home Health Care, HIV/AIDS, Hearing Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Cardiovascular Disorders, COPD, Dementia, Diabetes, Depression, Cancer Recovery, Blood Disorders, Arthritis, Alzheimer's Disease, ALS

In 2017 my grandmother had a major stroke which left her paralyzed, using a feeding tube, on insulin, and unable to talk. My grandfathers dementia and Parkinson's became much worse to the point he became paralyzed. I have always loved helping people and fell more and more in love with it after my grandparents moved into our home. They have since past and I miss helping them out.

I am a mom of twin boys, I have been in the medical field for over 20yrs, started off and a CNA in a nursing home and went in to get my Medical Assistant certification. I worked in the ED and after having children I worked in the lab processing specimens and drawing labs but eventually missed patient care patient contact. So after the kids were older, I started a job in Urgent Care and I love it. I enjoy talking and listening to patients. You can find out a lot about a person in a short amount of time and many older adults have very interesting history.
