My personality trait is every day wherever I go throughout the day how can I help someone. My joy is helping people in anyway I can. If I cannot help them I will look for that help for them and try to bring a smile on their face also. My Expertise as a caregiver is to put a lot of care and thought into my work. What attracted me to become a caregiver as my mother became ill I had to leave my full-time job. I cared for my mother to my best ability until her passing. What do I enjoy of most of being a caregiver ? Every time I am done taking care of my individuals. It's a fulfillment within my soul. That this individual was being taken care of to the best of my ability. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? To be my mother's caregiver working side-by-side with the doctors sorting her medication daily. To control her illnesses such as her A1c for diabetes, weight, mental illness, asthma, and COPD. My mother was able to have a longer and healthier life until her passing.

I started off as a CNA in 1999, my dream was to always be a nurse. I accomplished other degrees but ultimately went back to nursing. I am now a pediatric and trauma rehab nurse. I love caring for people, I am compassionate, patient and empathetic. I believe all people should be treated with the utmost respect .

I became a caregiver the moment my grandmother became ill. She had a caregiver and I decided that was my calling, help and assist not only my grandmother and mother but those in need. I was raised by my grandparents all the way up till high school. While living with them they instilled countless of values and morales. Which is why upon graduating with my B.S. from Houston Christian Univeristy, I returned home to look after them. Through them and my professional experience i've learned tremendous patience and how to properly address and handle any situation a care giver may experience. I was officially hired as my grandfathers provider through the VA when he reached 100% disability until his passing at 102. I have since worked for two other home care agencies, and have over 2 years of experience professionally. I am also sponsored by Project Arriba, while I complete a 2-year Echocardiography program at EPCC. I can say with confidence I am able to effectively and superbly perform any task as a caregiver and provide exceptional customer service.

I am a very caring and loving individual, I mostly go out of my way to help people anyone especially the elderly, when I can. My mother had early signs of dementia and I can't imagine her being all alone. When I'm off of work I stay with her have our specific shows that we watch and that to me is bliss. I'm genuinely there for whoever needs me I love to listen and give advice or just listen. All I can say is I try my best.
