I started caregiving for my grandmother who was suffering from dementia. Being a good caregiver requires a lot of patience. I provide that to people in my care and hope to assist them in ways that improve their quality of life. One of my greatest accomplishments as a caregiver was seeing someone recover cognitive ability after switching from nursing home to in home care.

My name is Taviasha I am 20 years old I started home care when I was 16 with my mother , helping with her home care business. From then on helping people & caring for them is what I always wanted to do . At the age of 17 i decided to go ahead & when I turned 18 I got my Pca & also cpr certificate. I been working as a pca for almost 2 years & I finally decided to move up & get my hours to become a Cna. All my hours are in & April 22nd 2022 I will take the Cna exam with prometric . My name is Mikala McMillan , I am 21 years old. I have been PCA certified since 2019 , and I have been a DSP since 2021. I am CPR certified since 2020. I've worked around all age ranges (kids , adults and the elderly). I've worked in homes , facilities , day programs , residential homes and comhab. Since I was young I always wanted to be a teacher or pediatrician because I love to help and teach people and I love children. When I turned 18 in 2019 that same month I went and got certified as PCA and ever since I've been elevating in different job areas with different ages and activities of living. What I enjoy most about my job is being a role model to those I work for and to know that my help can go a long way for those who are in need of that support. A personal achievement I am very proud of is graduating a year ahead in high school with honors diploma . I graduated 2018 and ever since Ive been looking forward to learning many new things for my future. I am always open to working in different areas , with an open schedule and being able to learn new skills as well as teaching those in need of such as independent living skills , money management , cooking , etc .
