Over the years I lost all four of my grandparents to cancer. I became a caregiver because I want to help people that are going through the same obstacles they once were. Helping people is my passion. The best feeling in the world is making a slight difference in one's life, making someone smile is everything. When I take care of my resident's and I recieve a smile it makes me feel like I've done a wonderful job. What attracted me to caregiving is going to the nursing home everyday and seeing my grandfathers nurses and aides come in, they always had a smile on their face and it gave him one too. When my grandmother got sick in 2013 with stage 4 lung cancer I quit my job and took care of her until she went on hospice in her home, in 2014. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life and that was to be a nurse one day! My biggest achievement is when I went to LPN school, although I withdrew in February of 2019 the knowledge and experience I gained is not forgotten. I was going into my second clinical rotation when I caught the flu and missed 23 clock hours! I had an hour left until next semester which was 3 months away!
