I am a loving and caring person that takes helping others in their homes seriously. I believe people belong in their homes with their families especially eight now with the way COVID is.

I have always been a very caring person but learned how much I enjoyed taking care of others after my father suffered from a stroke. Since then I have worked for years with people with disabilities. I enjoy working one on one with people and helping them accomplish tasks that they have worked hard at. I am proud to say that I have become a manager at my current job.

I have been in the health field for over 13+ years, I've worked at a nursing home throughout college. Went to LPN school (still have to sit boards) My most recent employer was a 74 year young lady with Parkinson's. I worked with her for 10 years. I was what she called her "Girl Friday" I did everything from medication reminders and dispensing, to hiring aides, payroll, care for her cats, ran errands, shopped for her, brought her to all appointments, Cooked for her, house cleaning, bathing, dressing, toileting and companionship ( we were incredibly close) I am a very dependable and reliable caregiver. I am kind, caring and considerate. I love taking care of the elderly. I can truly say I am good at what I do, and take enormous pride in my care.

I grew up in a family of 10 and, being the 3rd to oldest, it came with a lot of responsibility. By 7 years old I could change, feed and put a baby to sleep. With this experience, came a sense of empathy for those in need. Caring for others has always been a morally rewarding task and I plan on assisting others for as long as possible. I have a broad range going from helping those with terminal illnesses all the way to those who just need extra assistance around the house. There is no job too big or too small for me to do.

I absolutely love to help people, it's always been something I want to do. I've seen many people struggle and not receive any help, as well as been in that position myself and it's never a good feeling. I enjoy meeting new people and seeing what they're capable of, and seeing their smiles. I'm proud of how far I've come with what I have and I can't wait to take it further!
