I became a care giver because I was a recipient once and those care givers changed my life. I want to share the love and care I received from those ladies. The joy of being able to give the recipient the independence they need with my assistance in the comfort of their home or residence of their choice. I have been a care for 15year. I generally love to care for others. I have very good transportation with full coverage auto insurance.

My personality traits are how up beat I am. How I started to become a caregiver was because Of my own mother through her stomach surgery. The thing I like best about being a caregiver is giving someone happyness in there lives. What I am proud of is how i Graduated high school with a certified nursing assistant certification meaning how I could start work right after high school.

I've been an active caregiver for the past 15 years or so, both as a live-in and live-out caregiver. Most of my working experience comes from outside of the US. I started working as a caregiver because needed a job and earn money(do not let yourself fooled by anyone that says otherwise ) and as a single mom of three you can guess that i had no choice in choosing what i considered at that time that i would like. During the years i earned so much more than money. I started out with a job and ended up with having more and more family members as each and one of the patients that i assisted become in some way my mother/father, my daughter/son and a challenge to build up my empathic skills . Ended up understanding that caregiving is not a JOB although it's paid. You treat not just people but a very fragile class of people. They definitely need our assistance in daily chores but that is not enough , they need somebody that does not define them only trough their disability. Caregiving it's not just about taking care of a body it is a 360 degree assistance which consider the person in a holistic way (body, mind and spirit) As a caregiver i might fail in some chores(nobody is perfect) but one thing that i am proud of is that as much as i could i tried to bring joy. Hard but necessary was when I had to assist patients in an point where life comes to an end. In some cases I sing their favourite song, hold a hand, give a caress to the person in need and explain to family members that it is perfectly normal to be scared or to suffer and to assure them that they are not alone.

Skills & Certifications: Neurological Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Registered Nurse (RN), Hospice Care, Depression, Blood Disorders, Hearing Disorders, Skin Disorders, Vision and Eye Disorders, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Respiratory Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Parkinson's Disease, Palliative Care, Home Health Care, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Cardiovascular Disorders, Diabetes, Dementia, Arthritis, Cancer Recovery, Alzheimer's Disease

Growing up in a family of medical professionals overseas I surely thought that one day I would become a nurse. After watching my aunt take care and aid the sick in her home, I knew I wanted to become more hands-on with patients. While still in high school, I began working at a local hospital, helping out with medical records and little jobs as needed around the hospital. Being surrounded on a daily basis by this kind of environment also empowered me to be able to care for my own grandmother which is why I decided to become a caregiver.

I have roughly been caring for our seniors for 20 years. I began this endeavor in honor of my Grandmother. I will never forget the first time she didn't know where she was. I cared for her for many years. I have experience in multiple sclerosis patients, special needs and dementia and Alzheimer's. I take great joy in being able to make a positive impact on people's lives. Listening to seniors is something they feel they lack, playing games, & walking is so important to their happiness and well being. I look forward to new clients and I have references on request.

I have been caring for seniors for many years. It started with my own grandfather when I was younger in between I had another career in real estate but that brought me back to work with seniors. I worked in sales for new developing Life Care communities. This gave me a great education on care and the cost and quality available. Later when my mother-in-law suffered from dementia in 2014 Stated working with her as a paid home health aid and that's where my new career started!!!! I've always enjoyed the company of seniors. Hearing their stories and having them share their wisdom. I am incredibly patient which helps many clients because they get frustrated easily. They need someone who can help them with them in these moments I have a very diverse background. I've worked for large companies in management positions as well as start up companies where I was one of three employees. I'm a self started and I'm able to handle emergency situations. No matter your situation, please call me so we can discuss your families situation. Every circumstance is very unique and I believe that there is no standard plan. I prefer to meet every client first because the relationship is the most important part of this process. Your loved one and their comfort is the most important factor.
