I have been liscened Independent Provider with the Department of Developmental Disabilities for over 6 years now. In addition to that, I also teach high school. This is my 2nd year of teaching at Liberty High School. When you love what you do it's not considered work. I got into this field after spending many years of caring for my Mother who was also wheel chair bound. It only seemed right to contine down this path even after she passed on. I think this is something that comes naturally to me. I wear many hats, but Mom is by far my favorite job of them all. I have two beautiful children whom I Love dearly and they are my number one supporters and fans. I am grateful for the opportunity to work in my gifts. I believe that everything and everyone has purpose. Mines is to be a servant to God's people.

Hello! My name is Michelle. I began my journey as an in home provider in the early 90's due to a friend who needed assistance and couldn't find help. After weeks of researching and discovering what is involved, I decided to try my hand at it. Boy, am I glad I did, one of the best decisions I've made! I enjoy learning my clients and listening to the many stories that come from each and every one. I can not begin to explain how the words of wisdom that I have received over the years have been quite helpful in some of my life decisions. I love what I do and my greatest achievement is seeing the smile on my clients face when I walk in the door.

I have always know I wanted to be in the Healthcare field; since I was a little girl. I also love helping people. I love making people feel good. Spending time with my clients. I try to have good relationships with my clients. I enjoy spending time with them; getting to know them and helping them. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Getting my degree! I worked long and hard to earn it!

As an STNA I am trained and have experience in assisting patients with their activities of daily living. These activities often include restroom assistance, bathing and dressing, hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and more. I am open and willing to working with all ages.

What makes me a great care giver is that I'm passionate about helping the elderly and it makes me happy to help other cause we all need help on our own way.

I've been a caregiver for about 14 years now. It started when my grandpa had cancer and I wanted to make sure he got the best care till the end. I just started school at UMA in 2020. The number one thing I love about being a caregiver is that I get to listen to most of my patients old stories from their childhood which is my favorite The second thing would that I know for a fact that they are getting the best care during my shift.
