The passion that I have for helping those in need is what drives me to further my education to go farther in my career. It's always been something I knew I wanted to do since a child coming from a line of nurses in my family. I have learned lots of skills along the way to ensure clients/patients receive the best possible care. I believe in treating those as if it were my own family member. I am a very hardworking caregiver. I have been doing this kind of work for 26 years and am very passionate about what I do. I'm a good listener and try to give each person their own independence and help when needed or asked. I have a sense of humor and love to make my people happy and laugh. I feel drawn to taking care of others. I served as a medical specialist for one term in the US Army National Guard. I also served as shift floor first responder at plants I worked at over the years while a cnc machinist. It has been my privilege to assist with hospice care for family and others through word of mouth. I've gone as far as getting ordained so I could spend time with one of the gentlemen I was caring for who requested me while in ICU. (They would only allow family and clergy.) I've worked with people recovering and in cancer treatment, dementia, alzheimers, deaf, blind, bed bound, mobility issues using wheel chairs and walkers, among other issues. As a caregiver, I have done many things: kept written log for family if needed, light housekeeping, baths and showers, laundry, medication monitoring, errands, helping with making and keeping appointments, the occasional over night stay, meal prep and much more. I'm also a mother of a child with a cleft pallet who also went through years of heart issues until she had surgery, and have a daughter with autism as well so special needs I'm more than comfortable with. It is my goal to make sure the comfort and safety of every individual meets their specific needs. As a caregiver, I treat everyone as extended family.

Hi, My name is Margie. I am a middle age adult and grandmother of two beautiful girls. Just a little more about myself, I started caregiving when I was about 7 years old with my grandmother who was a nurturer within our community. We would attend to the elderly or the sick when needed, and my duties were to assist with ADL's, cleaning (as much as I could have done) or just getting them something to drink with their medication, inwhich were always appreciated by them. I knew then that helping someone in need would become a career. I became a Nursing Assistant in 1988 and Certified in 2004. I have mainly worked with homehealth and hospices agencies, however, these roles has taken me into skilled nursing homes as well as retirement homes. I am also experienced with working with Mental health patients and the Disability & Special Needs. I have experience with working with Alcohol & Abuse clients and I have worked with veterans. I am thoroughly comfortable with a variety of different clientele such as dementia and alzheimers clients and offers them the very best services possible.
