I am a great caregiver because I actually wanted to become a nurse because I was raised by my grandmother and I watched her be a caregiver to her parents and kids and also raise me as a daughter and I am her granddaughter. My great grandmother had multiple sclerosis when I was growing up as a young child and she lived next door to us. I used to go help my grandma take care of her till she got bedridden and passed. Both of my grandfathers also had Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinson's I was also a full-time caregiver to one of them as a young adult. What I enjoy most about being a nurse and a caregiver is companionship. Everyone needs somebody especially the elderly it's very lonely when you get older and I love being a nurse/ caregiver to have my client feel that Most beautiful experience of Someone that actually cares.

My father was a pastor and I was with him visiting sick and shut -ins. I serviced two care facilities, meeting with the patients. I cleaned houses for the elderly for 30 years including dementia and other age related illnesses. Both my parents have had multiple operations and I was their care giver.

I like helping people and working with people who can't fend for their self. I've been a caregiver since I was a little girl taking care of orphaned baby animals. I am now a certified CNA. I have worked with elderly, disabled, along with mentally challenge people. I have worked in a med fragile home nursing homes and private home care. I have been certified in CPR, first aid and had a lot of training on working with elderly and disabled people. I've had 15 years of experience I've taken them shopping, doctor appointment, run errands, I give baths, help dress, cook, tubal feeding I've taken care of my dad ,he had alheizmer along with clients who had it. I worked with the Visiting Angels Caregiver & Home health group out of Knoxville, Tn for about 2 years as a caregiver. I also helped to care for my mother, father, a sister, a brother, an aunt, an uncle, my husband, and my son. I am retired, but I still enjoy working part time as a caregiver.
