I have the calm and quiet type of demeanor and have been told on several occasions that my voice is very calming. Basically, I get along with everyone. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is that it's my calling and what I'm passionate about. It comes very naturally for me after being in this profession for over 30 years. I started caregiving when i was 16 because I wanted to one day become a nurse which is what i will be going to school for. I am very compassionate and caring which is what drew me to this field. I worked as a CNA for 16 yrs (3 years as a PCW) until I went back to school for my associates in Medical Administration. I went into the field as I love taking care of others. I find it to be very rewarding, like no other career. Helping others with daily life skills, no matter what it is, brings joy to my life. Knowing I make a difference feels good. I am very professional as I have worked in the field for such a long time. I am sensitive to a person's needs as well. It is very important to me to that the client/patient is taken care of as well. At some point in our lives we all will require help. It is so important that we remember this as we care for another in need. I am looking to work the overnight shift 2-3 nights per week or 5-6 shifts in a 2-week pay period. I am available to work between 7p-9a. I am also willing to work longer shifts up to 15 hours per shift. I would like to stay around 30 per week as I am enrolled in an online Medical Transcription course presently.

I became a caregiver after helping my dad through his battle with cancer when I was just a teenager. I am a single mother of three children. I love reading, music, arts and crafts. I feel I sympathize with the elderly more so than the younger population, specializing in dementia and memory care. I look way younger than I am, I am somewhat shy but once I get to know a person we are friends forever.

I have always been a caregiver. I am the oldest of 3 and my mothers best friend has 2 girls so I had to keep an eye on them all!! Now I am a mother myself to 2 beautiful girls. I am a great listener and can handle things when they get a little hairy. I remain calm in an emergency and can think logically and quickly in the time of need. I love helping people.
