I've been doing this type of career for 28 years and love what I do I also would love to go get my LPN to further my career this fall 2023 then I'll be able to do more an help out more with my clients, then I can now, I wouldn't change my career for anything it what I've wanted to do my whole life and it runs in my family, and I intend to do for rest of my working life, it not a job to me it a career and it like taking care of my own family and love ones, my clients mean everything to me, I'm there for my clients to help them feel safe and comfortable with there ADL and being home, I am proud to have been in my career for over 28 years, an Im proud to add many more years to it, and have my LPN this year 2023, I also have both of my covid-19 shots so I am good to go with the covid-19, I also work with all types of care,

Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. Hello! My name is Amanda I am a 30 year old pursuing my bachelors degree. I am a very caring and hard working individual. My grandfather passed away from dementia a few years ago, I took care of him for 3 years during the duration. Feeding, bathing, changing, medicating. I enjoy being able to be personal. The 1:1 with a person to make an impact on their life. I like the in-home setting but better than a corporate location. I have come a long way, traveled the country and now it's time to settle down. Somethings come naturally, and caring for children and the elderly seems natural for me. The years prior to my parents passing away, I worked a full time job and still helped take care of my parents. I spent weekend and evening with them. There were no regrets after they passed. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is the pleasure it gives the person I'm helping, and the good feeling I get assisting them. I know both my parents were proud, happy and relieved to be able to have stayed at home until they died. We are a close knit family and that is why I started helping my Aunt and a family friend once my parents passed and I became retired. My daughter is an RN and my son owns his own excavation company. I have six grandchildren, 5 girls and 1 boy. The boy was the last :) I live in a 4 tenement house that originally belonged to my grandparents, then my parents and now my brother owns it. 17yrs ago I moved back to Adams after living in California for 20 yrs. One of the apartments was available so I decided to not buy another house, and just live in the apartment next door to my parents. I had a baby monitor in my parents bedroom and in my bedroom so if they needed me during the night, they could just "yell", which my Mom did often because she could no longer walk on her own. Both my children live on the same street as I do, which makes it nice. I moved back to the Berkshires just in time to enjoy my parents last years before passing.

I am understanding and compassionate I enjoy listening to people and the stories they like to share. I enjoy gardening, walking, playing cribbage, cards or doing puzzles. I enjoy helping other with chores they are unable to do. I have had family members with different medical and memory issues, so I think I was drawn to understand the needs of families dealing with similar situations.

I'm a thoughtful, cheerful, caring, organized caregiver. Spending time and enjoying time spent with my Grandparents attracted me to being a caregiver. I visited them in England , Florida and their home in Albany. The part I enjoy most about caregiving is helping others out in their daily lives and being able to spend time with them. A personal achievement I am proud of is spending a semester abroad in Israel living, studying, and volunteering on a kibbutz there in the North and then traveling through the country some and into Sinai Egypt afterwards.
