I have over 10 years of experience caring for my brother, who lived with diabetes and chronic kidney disease. I view caregiving as a calling, to serve God and others, demonstrating love, compassion, and dedication in every task.

I am a very caring and compassionate individual. I have a big heart and love to help others. I remember taking care of my grandfather and learning ways to show more compassion and love to an individual. I love being a caregiver because I can help those who cannot help themselves and do this in a very respectful way. I always want my "resident" to feel happy and comfortable. I want to encourage them to do the things that they can still do, but assist in the daily things that they cannot do for themselves anymore. A personal achievement that I am proud of would be having my own family. I am proudly married to the man of my dreams who pushes me to do what I love and to never give up, and I am proud of my beautiful daughter who makes me want to be a better person and give her all the things she may ever want. I want to teach my daughter the benefits of helping others and how great it feels to know and feel that you are truly helping better another persons life.

Hi I have been a caregiver since I graduated high school in 2003 (22 years). At first it was just a job to work after graduating but I really enjoyed working and helping my clients live at home. The reason I became a caregiver was because my dad was diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to help. He passed away before I could take care of him. I got a blessing working with a man for almost 3 years he wasn't just a client but a friend. I'm proud that he thought of me as family and that he didn't get to upset when I got bossy (that's a joke) But I like things clean, I like to help the client anyway I can.
