After being a stay at home mom for 20 years I figured the next step should be to help out the elderly. I have been a caregiver (certified) for over 15 years now and absolutely love it. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the smile and or relief on someones face when they have someone to help them. Whether it is to cook them a meal, help pay bills or just go to the grocery store so that they dont have to. My greatest work was working at the Hospice Care Center for over 2 years. Working with whole families in their time of sorrow was so rewarding. I recently became a grandmother for the first time and love spending time with him. I love doing jigsaw puzzles with my clients or just sitting and listening to their life stories. I am highly trained in all aspects of care giving. I am able to provide short or long-term care (up to 48-hour shifts. Private Duty Nurse Delegated Caregiver Available. I'm available one time or long term as you need. Are you looking for an educated and experienced caregiver? One who is available to provide compassionate home nursing and living assistance for the elderly, including surgical recovery, and dementia care patients? I'm able to assist with daily personal hygiene, showers, transferring and dressing care. Will prepare nutritious meals, (including feeding if required) cleaning, laundry, shopping, errands, as well as kindhearted and upbeat companionship. I remain composed during emergencies and have the ability complete the task at hand in a conscientious, competent and composed manner. I am always happy to assist in home physical therapy, as well as providing transportation for outside medical, diagnostic or other therapy related appointments. *****CARING*COMPASSIONATE*RESPECTFUL*DEPENDABLE*TRUSTWORTHY***** It is an honor to work with seniors in my community. I grew up taught to respect my elders and in doing so learned that seniors are just young adults in an aging body. I learned about the frustrations and the difficulties of doing things that used to be easy, about the depressing, and sometimes humiliating, fact of having to depend on another for daily living activities. I also learned of the joy of sharing time, stories, humor and life experiences, and the rewards that come from it for both parties. I currently live on a small hobby farm that includes horses, a donkey, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits and even a turkey. I spend quite a bit of time vegetable and fruit gardening and enjoy a variety of crafts. I am also a volunteer at the local senior center. I am married, with 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren, and am fortunate enough to still have both my parents! My specialties are Cancer Care, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Post-Acute, Memory Care, and Hospice Care. I have an innate ability to anticipate the needs of my client, both emotionally and physically. I am open and approachable, and am able to comfortably converse with my client based on their interests and experiences. I'm known for giving great baths and showers and I'm nurse delegation certified, so I can assist with catheters, insulin, wound care and more. I have a clean, dependable car and insurance. I am willing to transport to appointments, outings and events or just stay home together. If you're looking for a provider with an outgoing, cheerful personality, then we may be the perfect match! grayfairy64@gmail.com
