I decided to follow a career in the health field when I helped take care of my grandmother when she was in a nursing home for rehabilitation after a car accident. My older sister was always my idol. She became a nurse and I always admired her with her job and all that she does for other people who are in need. I decided to pursue in the same field. I enjoy helping others. I am a very giving and compassionate person. I take my job seriously, and don't expect anything in return. My reward is seeing smiling faces of those I help and knowing that they are completely appreciative of everything I do because I am not obligated to do so. I am proud of starting school to continue my education. I had financial issues and had to take a break, but I am determined to finish and get my RN. A little something about myself, I live on my own with my boyfriend and his 3 year old son. I also have a dog. I enjoy spending time with my family and my boyfriend's family. I am looking to add on to my small family, but the jobs I have had have not allowed me to be financially stable just yet. I am looking to get paid decently for all the work that I do as a CNA. CNAs don't always get competitive pay. Thank you for your time.

I have been a caregiver for many years as a part time job. I am compassionate, kind, intelligent and I can think quickly and calmly during a crisis. I worked for 25 years as a special education teacher and now I am an online skills instructor. I work as a caregiver because it provides extra income ( I'm also a single mom), while allowing me to do something that I truly love! I think what makes me a good care giver is that I try my best to give the best care I can to the person or persons I care for what attracts me to this is just that I can make a difference in someone else's life doing some small things for them what I like about being a care giver is that I can make the person I care for feel comfortable and not stressed about how they will be able to do things for them selves the greatest achievement that I have made is that my two oldest daughters grew up to be caregivers too and they are both wonderful at their jobs and I'm proud of both of them.
