I spent 11 years in the military in which I was honorably discharged at the end of 2012. I completed and received an associate degree in art while serving. I continued my education while being unemployed from the time I was released from the military until April of 2013 and earned a bachelor degree in psychology. A week later I began practical nursing school and graduated top of my class a year later and was rewarded the leadership award. I passed my state board and earned my Practical Nursing license with an IV certification. I have since worked as an admission nurse, hospice nurse, agency nurse, floor nurse, managed a long term care facility, and was a day shift manager as well as a day shift unit supervisor. I recently completed my associate's degree in science in nursing and am waiting to sit for boards for my registered nursing license. I am looking to slowly transition from the facility setting into private duty helping people in their home setting.

I have been a cna for almost 8 years and I absolutely LOVE what I do. I became a cna after taking care of my grandfather when my grandmother couldn't care for him no longer. He made me realize what Im meant to do. My goal is to be a Nurse one day. I have worked in all aspects of healthcare. From my 1st job being in an all male medium security prison as a cna to working hospice,private duty, nursing homes, and home care. Im very good at what I do and have never had a complaint. Im very respectful and go above and beyond for my clients. My clients become family to me. I get joy in making someone elses day a little brighter and better.

I have extensive knowledge in various healthcare settings and positions. The positions ranging between housekeeping, marketing, caregiver, med tech, and activities coordinator. When I was little and even growing into my young adult age I took care of my grandmothers and now have a passion for seniors and serving them in all aspects. I am proud of having the opportunity to experience all positions and learn what I am good at.

I am on the right in this photo. I became a caregiver when my Daddy was diagnosis with cancer 23 years ago. I wanted to know how to take care of him at home. I like that I get to know people .I like listening to there stories. I am proud that I finish college with a Associated Degree and now working on my Bachelor Degree. Dependable , hard working. Military spouse for 20 years. We have two daughters. I have traveled with my husband in his career.

I became a Caregiver because when I was about Fourteen my Grand Father became very ill and my Mother would go to his house everyday after picking me up from school, and we would take care of him. We would help him out with his everyday living needs, such as bathing, dressing, eating, And just light cleaning in his home. From then on I've always had the passion to help/take care of others. What I like about being a caregiver is making others feel more independent, by helping them with their everyday needs, or anything else they need help with. And also being there so they can talk when they need someone. A personal achievement to me is just a simple one, I once worked in a nursing home for about two years, and it was always an achievement to me when me or another one of my co-worker put a smile on one of the Residents face. I am a friendly person, I love to help others, And I am always ready And willing to learn something new in life.

I think it was a natural choice its my personality. I was just drawn to helping people. It always just feels nice when you know you have made a difference. Even if its one person you touch there is always that one that touches your life back. I enjoy what do.

I became a CNA/Medication tech because this special gift was the career I am most suited for. Since I was a young girl Helping my mother and grandmother is definitely a blessing to me. Each and every resident is treated like I want and expect my mother to be treated. I love Fantasy Football, family get gatherings and watching the Sunday football games with my 89 year old mother.

I wanted to help the terminal ill and their families with the services needed to the lighten the burdens of the hardship.The ability to bring comfort to those in need.I am a 55 years old female and I have two son,I am a foster parent and I enjoy helping others.

The reason I became a care giver is because I love helping others and to reach their needs who are those cannot help themselves. I have been working for about 6 years as a Caregiver \" certified nursing assistants\" and currently i am currently working in the hospital and going to school to become a Nurse. A vailable my first choise is night shift or evenning. I am dedicated to giving the best possible care and very good at it.
