What makes me a good caregiver? I have the love and passion to help others and care for them. I have a background as a medical assistant with the ability to serve a wide range of patients in my care. The achievements I have as being a caregiver is helping patients improve their quality of life and regaining their ability and challenges to care for them and assisting with their ADLs.

I love taking care of people! My Mom died in 2009 and the hospital staff took such good care of her that I stopped working in retail to become a CNA to pass the care my Mom was given forward. I've worked with non-verbal patients and if you observe them properly their eyes with tell you everything. I have a passion for caring for people!

I've always wanted to be a caregiver/cna since I was a child . I come from a family that has multiple health issues & I've always wanted to take care of them so they wouldn't have to be placed in a nursing home/ residential care facility where they wouldn't receive the care that they deserve. What makes me a great caregiver is my passion towards my work & mainly my residents. I feel that each individual deserves the best care no matter what their illness is. I like being a caregiver because I can care for the elderly if they're family can't. I love to make them feel safe and comfortable being around me and also comfortable in their skin . I love to let them know that I'm there for them if no one else is . A personal achievement I'm proud of is sticking to the goal of becoming a caregiver/cna since a child & I achieved it .

I fell in love with caregiving back in high school when I took an elective class helping students with disabilities. In my early 20's I became a CNA and have always loved helping others every chance I get. I have worked in several different types of caregiver settings but eventually decided to leave the field because I was saddened and frustrated when I felt like my concerns about patient rights were constantly ignored by management. I decided I no longer wanted to work in places where I wasn't able to speak directly to the patient's family and be their voice. I prefer to have a more personal and family-like relationship with patients rather than a business relationship.

I became a caregiver for the reason that i love helping people in need.I give them the help they need while still giving them respect and self esteem.I always put my self in the shoes of my patients.I will get older one day and will need someone to help me so I give the best care and hope to get the same when I need it.

I have an upbeat, friendly personality. I'm very sweet and caring and am great with clients and family members. I worked at a care facility with patients for almost 4 years. I have 3 children of my own which I have raised, I'm very nurturing. When my parents were ill I took care of them in and out of the hospital. I can do light house keeping, administer medications, cook and be a wonderful companion to your loved one. I am happy to help where needed.

When my son got hurt in 2010 and spent a month in the hospital, I knew I wanted to go into the medical field and give back the care that my son was given. Being a caregiver is not just about providing excellent care, for me it is also about maximizing my patients independence. I am very proud to say that I have achieved my senior rehab specialist certificate. I am not just a caregiver, I also have extensive training in the neuro rehab and mental health field and that is where my passion is. Ive been a caregiver my entirely life. When i was born my grandmother had already suffered 2 strokes and i helped take care of her forever. I am now a very caring mother of 3 young children so i have much patience. I love helping others feel good about themselves as i love to enjoy myself while i live life.
