I became a Care Giver because i'm kind, gentle and compassionate. I really love working with patients, I've always had a passion for helping others whenever I can. A personal achievement I am proud of is, purchasing my first home by the age of 27. I am intrinsically motivated and I aim to finish all tasks which I have started. I also have outstanding organization skills and great listening skills.

I hold a BA degree, 25+years experience in nursing as an LVN, Psychiatric, Hospice, Dementia, Special Needs specialty. I work as a coordinator of patient services as well as private duty. I have nutrition background, counseling and training skills for PT,OT and Cognitive skills. I am a people person, good humored and upbeat. I adore my work.

Hello my name is Emily! I took the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class in 2012 in Santa Barbara City College. I been working as a caregiver for 6 years. I have worked in Skill Nursing Facilities and Home Health assisting residents with ADL's . I'm deeply committed to my job and to treating my elderly clients with dignity and respect. I'm bilingual I speak English and Spanish. I truly enjoy working with elderly residents.

I became a caregiver to provide myself with a foundation to be a nurse. I achieved my CNA and nursing certificate in psychiatric nursing specialty, with pharmacology. I went on to care for HIV /Aids patients and hospice. I have a wonderful calming and caring effect on people and have worked many outstanding cases. I was planning to get my PhD in psychology for psychologist, but I stuck with nursing as I loved it very much. I have worked from NY to San Diego and have been with one company for 20+ years. I went back to school for my BA in education, as I teach special education as well. I am always updating my psychiatric background and love learning. I have many wonderful success stories, including my patient who I was with for 4 years, as his private nurse, care manager and trainer for his caregivers. I work well independently and have great skills. I love to write and my English/Education background has helped me get published. I still write and plan to publish more work. I presently am a music reviewer and article writer for different publications. I am very diversified in skills, education and interests, but I am above all a people person who is dependable, professional, well skilled and well liked.

Ever since I was 16 years old I would take my grandparents to their doctors appointments and I would car for them. My mother and older sister are CNAs as well and that is what inspired me to become a CNA. I like caring for the elderly and help them out in whatever I can whether it's running errands or keeping them company. I am currently finishing my last semester of the Radiography Program in Santa Barbara City College. I've been in interested in the medical field ever since I can remember.

1. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. 2. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with. Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care. 3. My biggest achievement is taking care of my clients for a long period of time that I've established a good relationship with families. 4. I am a sociable person with a natural capability of providing continuous care. Empathy is embedded in my personality and I’m a good listener. Being an experienced caregiver I am familiar with the job and immensely enjoy each day at work.
