I'm a dedicated hard worker who love what she does, self motivated person. have 16 years experience in this field,outstanding communication and organized skills. Implemented total patient care thought a team caregiver process. I'm 59 years young with two children and have six grandchildren.very honest and loyal person,get along well with everybody.ability to stay calm and remain in control in difficult situations. ability to handle multiple task and/or manage multiple verbal and written communication skills. I feel it is very important to listen to the client and do my best to make him or her happy. When I dust and clean I like to place the clients belongings where the client wants them. I don't rearrange belongings or throw out anything without being told to. Always when I am in a clients home I keep safety in mind. I have a good memory and can think quickly. I am very patient and always calm in an emergency. I was my mom's full time caregiver for 5 months til she passed from breast cancer. It bothered me when I'd be with my mom getting tests done and we would see people who were alone. No family or friend with them to help them. Not even there to drive them to and from never mind being there to help them stay calm when they're worried and scared. I wanted to change that. I am currently a home healthcare companion. I have been taking referrals from a home healthcare agency. I love helping people. My clients tell me I make a difference in their lives. I like saying yes one of my clients said, April, you always say yes no matter what I ask. I treat my clients like I would want to be treated.

I decided to become a caregiver to give people the independence to be in their home. I took care of my mother a quadriplegic for 2 years and she was so happy to be at home with her family. A proud achievement of mine was when I received my Missouri CNA so that I could continue to help others to realize that dream of being with their families as long as possible. I am a mother of three and I am currently studying nursing and plan to get my BSN from Central Missouri State University. I want to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday because I am in school Monday - Thursday. I can work 12 hours a day those three days.

I feel I am a great caregiver because I treat the person with respect letting do what they can for themselves so they don;t feel helpless. I became a caregiver caregiver when my mom became ill and my other siblings wouldn't step up. I like communicating with them it is a rewarding experience when something good happens. My personal achievement is that I raised five children and all of them are productive members of society.Three are biological.Two became my children when I married their father,he had custody of them.
