I was taking care of my parent until they die. I didn't want them to go to a nursing home because the like to die at home and I did everything to make them happy before they die. When my parents die I became a caregiver because I want to fulfill the elders' dreams to die at home instead of going to the nursing homes and being homesick and not only that they not treated well over there. They need to be treated with respect and dignity. I am also a CNA for over 10 yrs, I am very loving, caring, patient, honest, respectful, and trustworthy.

Hello my name is Jessica and I've always sort taken care of family members. In 2002 my sister was born with a disability so I gladly helped my mother take care of her. And then in 2005 when I was in middle school my mother had a stroke that paralyzed her entire right side so I then had to help take care of her along with my sister. I have always been the type of person who loved to help anyone that I could no matter the circumstances. I am a caring individual who does not like to see others unable to do for themselves. So after I graduated high school I applied for my first caregiving job and have loved it ever since.

Hi I've been a caregiver seems I was 11 years old my mother work I had to help taking care of my grandpa before he past away he disabled he had anzimer n I would help to put his oxygen on him to breath I would showered him n give his med n when he past away it was sad but he show me all this things he show me how to care for other that need I love way I do having the oppurty to care for other that need from a caregiver Know I have 5 kids but I love wat I do have care for elders or sinor that need that special care

devoting myself to assist with daily every day funtions is a great way to give back to the community, also i see a great benifical learning expereance from elderly with companionship, being a part of the great enjoyment is priceless. i love helping others as well as just being always needed by someone weither its to smile or assist with a daily activity

I became a caregiver because, I love providing care to help people who can't help themselves. I feel the passion and the concern from family members, knowing, that their family members or relatives need care that they are unable to provide. Thus, providing quality care to my patients gives them a quality of life that they have been longing for. I have worked as a caregiver for over 10 years and the smiles of satisfaction and joy on my patient's faces gives me joy and I feel I have done my job well. I love providing care to people because I can connect with them emotionally. Meeting new people from different works and cultures and providing them with quality and efficient care gives me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I give the best I can to my job without any excuses. I make my patients feel at home and comfortable as much as possible by bringing a smile or a sense of humor as I become part of the family. I understand what it means to depend on someone else to help do things they can no longer do.

I had the opportunity to be the primary person to care for my mother in her last few weeks of life. Which is where my desire to become a caregiver started. I find comfort in providing families the peace of mind that the patient will be treated like a family member.

I find great satisfaction in helping my clients live as independently as possible under their individual circumstances. I discovered this while my Mother was hospitalized with emphysema and I stayed with her there. I have always been a nurturer, and would help with the care of her roommates. I have been highly regarded and praised by the families of clients who had families, and developed close relationships with clients and families.
