I'm a great caregiver because I've been doing it for 30 years I chose to remain a CNA because of you get to work more closely with people a personal accomplishment I'm proud of it I saved the patient's life and I do very well with difficult patients

I am caring, compassionate, and understanding. I realize that caring for anyone you are not just caring for the patient/case but for someone's loved one. This means that you are also caring for the family. The family must trust you and understand that all communications regarding their loved one is honest, accurate and confidential. I have been in the business of caring since 1998 both in Hospitals,private care facilities and in the home. Each location requires and demand a different approach but what never will not be compromised is that my case has priority, my companionship and the well being is always at the forefront. I have the ability to communicate with all levels of the medical community from patient transportation to the attending physician and nursing staff. I am CPR/First Aid Certified also with the latest automated on sight equipment. I feel that the person that I am caring for must and should remain a viable member of their community and should have as much professional and social interaction in that community that is reasonable contingent on their health and mental condition.

My father , brother & I moved in with my grandfather to take better care if him . Me being the oldest & only girl I felt like I had more responsibility when my dad was at work. I didn't mine helping my grandfather with meals, putting shoes on. As I got older him as well. Times got tougher for him I wanted to be their for him I wasn't obligated. After he passed in 2005 I finished school in 08 I knew what I wanted to do for a living. Caring or other in need. It's a great feeling knowing your helping & caring for someone who trust you. I hope when it's my time I have someone to care for me in the same compassion way.

Being a CNA has been apart of my life for the past eight years and will always be my career of choice. I have a passion for helping people. It's within my character. I am beyond flexible with my schedule. I am a punctual employee. I believe in giving two hundred percent in my work ethic . Over the years working as a CNA I love to help people. This job comes with alot of patience and I've learned so much from my clients and their families. Some situations I had to remind myself this is a job but also to treat my clients like family. I treat all my clients like family because if my family needed home assistance I would want someone to treat them with love and respect.

I have worked as a CNA/Caregiver since 2001. I have cared for clients in both nursing homes, assisted living homes as well as in their own homes. I enjoyed doing my job, because I am not only giving care for my clients, I am also being their friend, shoulder they can lean on, ears that listens and sometimes, just being there for them. Sometimes we get caught up with life's fast pace that we unintentionally forget that our elder family member needs our attention, or our acknowledgement that they are still part of our lives, that they are still important to us, that we still love and care for them.
