I love working with the elderly people I used to take care of my grandma when I was younger and it was a joy for me then i decided to be a caregiver. I have 5 years experience as a home health aide and 2 years as a certified nursing assistant I work in nursing homes assistant living and in private homes. I love working with dementia patients. I'm a driving with a car.

I am a great caregiver because I enjoy taking care of others. I like being a caregiver because it gives me the opportunity to show my residents that there are some people who like what they do and that not all are just in it for the money. One personal achievement I am proud of is that being in this field for so long has allowed me the opportunity to assist in the care of my own family members that were ill and knowing exactly what to do and stay calm in a crisis. I am definitely someone who doesn't meet strangers, to meet me you feel as though you already know me. I am a real people person.

It's my passion to help people. Six years ago I started as a computer engineering major at the University of Louisville only to find it wasn't nearly as fulfilling as I hoped it would be. I needed to feel that I was making a difference through social interaction. After quitting my job at UPS I found a job at a local hospital as a nursing assistant and instantly found my calling. Fantastic schedule and air conditioning were just the tip of the iceberg with this profession. Now with a couple years of experience I've decided to pursue a nursing degree and I'm currently working at Mayo Clinic on the abdominal transplant unit. Wouldn't change how any of this has worked out.
