I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. I have achieve so many things from being a care giver. like getting to know the different backgrounds of my clients. but my great achievements is putting a smile on their faces. Am a hardworking girl who enjoys her job as a caregiver. I have 7 years experience.

I have been a certified home health aide and also a certified nursing assistant since 1998. It has always been my and pleasure to make people happy. I particularly delight in helping those in need to become comfortable and happy. This is because as human beings, we all have a need, and desire to be happy. This is why helping others to be happier is very fulfilling for me.   I have worked in nursing homes, agencies and also with individuals as well. As you can imagine I am a very well experienced. My duties include but are not limited to bathing, dressing, undressing, feedin, reminding clients to take their medication on time, making bed, laundry, and much more. Over the years, I have prided myself on giving the very best of quality care. This is simply because I am a firm believer in treating others the way I like to be treated. This has rewarded me with numerous letters of appreciation and recommendations which gives me graet pleasure and warms my heart greatly when ever I pick them up and reflect. I became a caregiver to help people improve the quality of their lives and maintain their dignity during their recuperation. Being a caregiver is very enjoyable and satisfying for me. I especially enjoy hearing about others' personal histories and accomplishments. One of my proudest achievements was the completion of my LPN training and earning my LPN License. I had studied hard during my classes and did a lot of preparation for the test. I did so well, that I passed it on my first try! In my earlier career as a floral designer, I was proud to earn the trust of the floral shop owners within 6 months so that they let me manage their shop. I also earned an award in FTD's Christmas Door Decorating contest. I enjoy arts and crafts, especially, creative sewing, painting and floral design.

53 yrs old grandma of 10 grandkids. A great cook, a fashion designer. Loving, caring and responsive person. Foster 3 kids whose mom died. I took care of an elderly man who didn't have a family. A fun person to be around.

Why did you become a Caregiver? I became a caregiver because I truly enjoy helping people. What do you like about being a Caregiver? Having a family member who is incapable of taking care of themselves safely can be overwhelming for families and to the person. I take pride in knowing I'm able to provide ADL's as well as companion ship for my clients and or residents. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I once had a client who was very depressed. She was elderly and felt as if she had no say in her life, and no one to care about her. I listened to her and held her hand when she cried. After she finished she thanked me for being there for her. I was proud because my goal is to provide physical and emotional support to my clients and or residents. Tell us something about yourself. I'm a pre-med major, and I am a quadruple threat musician.
