I became a caregiver, because I want to help seniors who could not help themselves. I also became a caregiver to take care of a indigent grandmother who needing help. My proud moment is when I can help a senior. I've worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 10 plus years. I enjoy working with others, and most of all I made a decision to return back to college to pursue a long life dream to become a RN. I am trustworthy, punctual dedicated, and a loyal caregiver who is a non smoker and a dependable worker with reliable transportation.

1. When my son was diagnosed with autism,gave me compassion for the sick and elderly. 2. Being able to step into a family's life and care for their love ones having them peace and dignity at this stressful time in their life's 3. Seeing patient that I care for with dementia starts recognizing me by a touch or my voice. 4. I am a mother 18 years old autistic son and a 24 years old nursing student with a grand son, my first experience with nursing was with my grandmother who had a stroke when I was 12 and I had to help care for her. It was scary and challenging at the same time. As a mother who has a son with autism, I knew how important it was to get help with him so I woulh not experience care giver burn out and that what I like offering to families peace of mind that their love ones are cared for and loved.

I am a caring person. Love taking of the elderly. I take my job with pride and responsibilities. I give loving and compassionate care.

My name is Jessica I'm 27 I've been a cna for 6 years now I've worked in nusrings home, rehabilitation centers, homehealth, and also some hospice work.

I absolutely love being a caregiver and truly believe that some people were born to be caregivers,nurses and be in the medical field and I am one of those people. I have been a CNA for 11 years, I currently work in hospice and I love being able to care for and help people through the most difficult stage of their life. Some people are ready and have come to grips with knowing that they only have a short period of time to live, depending on their diagnosis but others can take the news very hard and act out in ways that people normally wouldn't. Most of the times we see that the people we take care of tend to take it out on their loved ones and it takes a toll on the whole family, I personally think a good caregiver can be there for that patient and help them through and help them with their personal needs but more importantly their emotional needs and comfort them. You have to be a strong, loving and caring person to have that "special" touch and love to be a caregiver and I give 100% as a caregiver. I am 31 yrs old, engaged to the love of my life, don't have kids at this time but our 5 yr old Black Lab can be considered our baby for now lol

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm passionate about my job. I was really young when I became a caregiver. I had a young daughter to take care of and I needed a job. I took a CNA class in 1995 and have been a caregiver ever since. I really enjoy being a caregiver and knowing that I have helped someone get through their day. Sometimes just doing something small for someone makes a big difference.

I have 5 years of experience with my CNA license, mostly in hospice. With that being said I have dealt with multiple different diagnoses and personalities. I am pretty easy with change and can adapt to almost any situation. I love being with my patients and finding out about their likes and dislikes. The patient/family is always right and I'm always striving to achieve happiness from my clients.

Am caring and loving towards my patient I always put my self in there shoes. I treat them with respect like I would my own parents. I care for my patients the way I would like to be taking care of if I was in there shoes. That's what make me a great caregiver. I took care of my grandmother at a young age then I took care of my dad nd I really loved taking care of them and they really depended on me to provide care for them and I really enjoyed spending the time with them I New this was the job I wanted to do . I have been doing this since I was 18 yrs old and I love my job and my patients love me. To me everything I do for my patients is a achievement.

I became a caregiver so that I could help the community in any aspect with their daily activities, some of them don't have family. I love being an listening ear and the arms and legs for my patients, I also love providing emotional support. A personal achievement I have is the ability to provide support to hospice patients, these patients leave extra emotional support. I am 44 and I am currently taking courses toward my R.N. degree, I have 2 dogs and 3 older children. I love what I do and am anxious to get back to work in any capacity.

I feel like a patient should never be rushed. I encourage taking small steps to complete the process of getting ready. I like taking care of people I love when I can help someone, being able to give that extra care and make a persons day is rewarding. When a person feels out of place from a decline. Helping to make things better is always good.
