I became a patient care aid because I like to work with the elderly,i like most about being a caregiver is being able to help an keep a smile on my clients...I was proud of my completion of getting my certificate to do what I love. Im very patient an understanding an take my job very seriously.

My name is Lisa Pearsall. I am 29 years old and I have three children. I am currently a nursing student and work as a Home Health Aide. I became a caregiver in 2006 because I wanted to help improve the quality of care given to individuals in need. I enjoy being a caregiver because I know that I make a difference. I encourage my clients to do their very best and acknowledge them when they do even the simplest things for their selves. A personal achievement of mine as a CNA would have to be that I caught a severe problem that a client of mine had, just by observation. I noticed her skin was a slight yellow and her blood pressure wasn't bad but wasn't her norm either. I contact my supervisor, which then contacted her daughter. She was taken to the hospital and they found out she had pancreatic cancer. The doctors told her if she hadn't went she wouldn't of made it through the night. She ended up living another 2 weeks. He family contacted me and were so grateful that I seen the signs of change in her. They said hat because of me, they were able to have 2 more weeks with her.

I have the compassion and caring in me to take care of another human being. Those that need extra help it is not because they are useless, only because they would like that little help here and there that could help them enjoy life once more. I give the respect and dignity that we all deserve and will always let the person I am taking care of to make the decisions to their specifications.

I am a great caregiver because I like the elderly and enjoy helping them out. I enjoy helping people and making them feel good. I have over 10 years experience as a CNA. I think I am a positive influence on people.

I am a compassionate and dedicated caregiver that treats all of my patients as though they are my own family. I have patience, compassion and a diverse background having worked the last 30+ years in hospitals and in the Homecare settings both as a Visiting Nurse and hired directly by families. I have a calm demeanor and am always positive and encourage my patients and their families to feel free to speak to me about anything they are concerned about I always treat my patients and the families I work for with respect and give them complete privacy. I take pride in knowing I have learned a lot from all of the families I have worked with and appreciate everyone as an individual and has unique characteristics. Families have trusted me with the care of their loved ones because of my confidence, experience and am highly recommended from others. I love what I do because I receive satisfaction knowing I have made someone's life a little easier by having them continue to live in their homes with their families by there side.

I have seen many health issues within my own family. From comatose, cancer, stroke , hip replacement. Within our family we have all taken turns caring for each one of them. I am sure there are a lot of families looking for some one to care for their love ones as if they were there own family member. It is heart breaking to see your own family suffering with some illness let alone see some one else go through it. My hearts desires is to help meet the needs of those who cannot take care of themselves. I was not sure at the beginning if I could do this type of work. Once I did my Intern ship at a convalescent home then I was touch by the clients and it just moved my heart. The best thing about it is just to see the client smile when you show them that you care and your not just there just because you are getting paid for it. I have the compassion to help others and this is why I have chosen this career.

I am a great caregiver because I empathize with my seniors and try to put myself in their position. I like to hear about my seniors accomplishments and life experiences. I am a recent grandmother of one grandson who is the love of my life and soon to be a grandmother of a baby girl. I can not wait for this new and exciting facet of my life!

Hello my name is Makayla Barnett . I am a caring and outgoing individual. My passion is helping those in need and being a helping hand in anyway I can . I became a caregiver because I aspire to be a travel nurse in reg future . This gives me great experience and I love meeting new people. I also love being a joy to others in way I can . I work well with many personalities and I am very patient. I believe in completing my job as diligent as possible . I would love to make a difference in your family !

I became a caregiver because I love to help others that are in need or just need a little assistance. What I like about begin a caregiver is that I am able to give that love from a stranger when help is needed. I want others to treat me the same when I get older or may become disable and even care for my loved ones the same, as I do when I come to give the assistance. My personal achievement is that I am currently going to school to become a certified medical assistant. My children has a good role model and single parent that can prove anything can be do no matter the status, gender, or age your dreams can still be done. As I mention I am a single mother of two girls and pursuing to become a CMA. I am a certified nursing assistant now and I care for adults with multiple disabilities. I plan to care for children with disabilities when I become a CMA.
