I help take care of my 83 year old mom. I take her to dr appointments, hair and nail appointments, I take her dog to the groomer and vet. I grocery shop for my mom and pay all of her bills from her bank account. I set up appointments with home health nurse, physical and speech therapists on a weekly basis. I also take her shopping when she feels up to it.

Hello, The reason why I decided to become a caregiver is to care for those who need extra company and care in their lives. Some of the treats I've been told I have that make me a good caregiver is being patient kind that those around me often come to for a laugh or good listen. An achievement of mine that I hold dear is the continuous thank you's I receive after volunteering at our daily bread for the past couple of months.

I am a very friendly individual that can get along with anyone. I know how to cook and clean and I have no issue providing any other form of care that a client may need. I am interested in this job as a caregiver because I am a recent nursing student graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso and I believe that it would be an amazing opportunity to gain experience while also being able to help and bond with a client.

Hello my name is Kya Broadway, I have been a caregiver for four years. In elementary school I remember my teacher asking what would I like to be when I got older and my response " a nurse!" I have watched my mom in the nursing field for years after nursing she became a phlebotomist and I always felt the need to follow her foot steps due to me having a disabled sister and grandmother having her leg amputated! So I spent my adults years interested in helping others. Taking care of my clients really makes my day and makes me happy knowing I left an impact on others! Everyone that I have helped along my journey of being a caregiver has always expressed how important I am to them and how I brighten their lives so much more. Since I can remember I always had a heart for the elderly so a few months ago I decided to take the AZ caregiving course (104 hours of training) so I would be eligible to work with them. I passed my state test with flying colors and have been working at an assisted living home since then. I am compassionate, patient, motivated, accountable, respectful and professional. I am results driven and I do not shy away from hard work. When I am with someone my goal is to brighten their day and make sure they are comfortable, safe, and happy.

I charge $17 an hour for overnight shifts and $15 during the day. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I feel that everyone should help each other. Seniors have lived incredible lives and I believe it is up to younger generations to help them in their time of need. I feel that you should treat people how you wish to be treated and one day if I should have the need I hope some one like me would take care of myself or family. I have provided caregiver services for my own family. it is an incredibly rewarding job.

I have always been kind and caring. I love being a companion and taking care of people. I'm a pretty quiet girl and find enjoyment in the little things. I've always had a mothering nature. I'm attracted to the care giver job because I get to assist a person that has lived through so much and has seen so much more than I have. I respect that a lot. Although I do not have a lot of experience as a care giver, I am whole hardheartedly willing to learn and understand that it is a very serious and important job. I am always on time and put all my energy into my job. I am very patient as well. When I was in middle school, I taught my younger brother 4th grade because we were home schooled and that is one of my happiest achievements because I had to take care of him and help him a lot while I was also doing my own school work.
