I believe that I'm a great caregiver because I'm very compassionate, confident, and dependable. I've been able to establish trust and emote genuine patient caring. I became a caregiver after my mother became very ill, my sister and I stepped in and became her caregiver. Afterwards, I decided I wanted to go further and became a Home Health Aide @ covenant Hospice, where I've been working for the past 8 years. I love the work that I do and I have a heart for the people.

1. I became a caregiver, because I love to take care of people and help people in any way I can. I'm very patient and enjoy getting to know people. 2. I enjoy learning different things about people, able to help people that can't help themselves. Being there for someone in there time of need. 3. I'm proud to achieve my 1st degree in Human Services getting closer to a career I enjoy. 4. I'm a very caring, independent and determine person. I've worked as caregiver for over 10 years, I enjoy what I do and a very dependable person.

I started out working in the kitchen of a nursing home at the age of 16, and really enjoyed meeting the different people that I came in contact with. I realized that I wanted to have a more hands on experience with my clients. I enjoy speaking, learning and most of all helping my patients in every aspect of their lives. I am most proud of being able to be that listening ear, or that helping hand when most people don't have either. Sometimes people just need a friendly ear, or a steady hand to lean on. I don't mind being either and it's a gift I've been given and am proud of. I am a patient person, and just love the rewards I receive from Helping.I am 35yrs old and enjoy this line of work. I've worked in group homes with mentally and physically challenged individuals as a direct care staff and house manager. I believe in helping them feel as normal and accepted as possible. In this society there are not many warm hearts left, and Everyone should feel the power of love and friendship.

I am registered in the State of California Home Care Aid Registry (#7516022156). Currently, I work for 3 organizations as a caregiver. My experience as a caregiver extends to working for Lighthouse Independent Living Services as an Independent Living Services Instructor, United Cerebral Palsy as an In-Home Trainer and Heartfelt Home Care Services working with elders. My experience as a caregiver began 18 years ago as I learned a great deal about the importance of being a caregiver as I started my caregiving responsibilities for my wife. I have a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Healthy Aging and during my studies, I volunteered to work at People's Self-Help Housing working with elders helping them with counseling, transportation and other needs. I have an interesting and funny story regarding how I saved a client from paying a $260 bill. My degree is allowing me to be a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern (IMF 79643). I feel it is not only important to help the client, it is important to help the family as a whole if there is difficulty. I look forward to providing counseling support to other members of the family as needed. In addition, I have a second Master of Arts degree in Education, specializing in Counseling and Guidance. I became a School Counselor and currently maintain a school counseling credential. Before working towards becoming a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMF 79643), I worked with at-risk students some of whom had situations where they had lost a parent due to illness which had affected their school performance. I look forward to helping elders so they can be healthy and have the opportunity to be as self sufficient as possible.

My grandmother was very ill, and as grandchild I assist my grandmother when help was needed. I enjoyed seeing a smile on my grandmother face as she was getting well, it was very rewarding. I enjoy working with people no matter what age or race, you can always learn something new. I have good communication skills, funny, dedicated, intelligent, and a kind person.

I don't treat the people I care for as clients or just a job,I treat and care for them as family,with respect,compassion and dignity. I have worked in this field going on ten plus years,starting at age 15 teaming up with the special education class at highschool,my best friend whom I met in this class changed my entire life so I continued volunteering and working for various private homes,facilities and agency's from children,adults and senior citizens. I also feel that all the beautiful people I met and cared for along the way helped me to become the woman and mother I am today. It is truly and honor and privilege,and the experiences are priceless.

I became a caregiver because I have developed a love for caring for others, making a positive difference in a persons life is very important to me. Leaving a positive impression knowing that I made my patient feel better and made their journey to healing much easier is what I like about being a caregiver. Being able become a Medical Assistant with an Associates and continuing education to Health Service Administration Bachelor program are personal achievements I'm very proud of. I am a team worker, on task completing job duties in time requested, takes initiative and promt.

Ive been in the special needs field since my junior year in high school (2006). Now at the age of 25 I have worked with agencies such as United Cerebral Palsy, and Independent Support Service for an extensive period of time, really understanding the needs in the field from all ranges of people with a mental/physical ailment/disability. I feel everyone should have the chance to live as indepentently as possible, some people just need that extra hand.

I became a caregiver over ten years ago I love working with people and love helping other out that can not do everything for them self the most I like about being a caregiver is that I can change someone life and let them Know that they r not along and I have the passion for loving and caring...

My mother took care of the disabled and mentally disabled since I was 4 years old . I seen the love, and the compassion my mother had for the indidviduals. I was exposed to working with the mentally disabled at the age of 18 years old . I am now 21 and have 3 years of experience. What makes me a great caregiver is I put the individual first. I put their needs and wants, and their safety first.

I became a care giver in 2007 I love taking care of people. That's been something I loved to do since I was little and my mother got sick I was there to help her. It's been a joy of getting to know so many people in my community doing the work that I love to do and enjoy to do. The biggest achievement in my life is working in an assisted living part time and saving a man's life. A little bit about myself is I have two wonderful kids that support me and my career they play sports go to school and they are my priority, my life. Everything I do is for them.

I'm I know I would make a great caregiver because I truly believe in treating people the way I would like to be treated. I believe you should treat everyone with kindness and most importantly, dignity. We're all going to age some day, and I would hope and pray that if I needed assistance in my home, that I would be blessed with someone who would treat me like family. My biggest accomplishment, I've sent three kids to college on academic scholarships. I'm a very proud mother, because I believe I've raised kids to become productive citizens of society. I also have a twelve year old son with Autism and one son with asperger's syndrome. I've worked with the elderly and disabled for over 14 years. I'm a great person, I love to laugh and I'm a little silly sometimes. I believe life should be enjoyed at all times.
