My name is Kathy Salters. I have worked with people in customer service for many years and I would like to help the elderly with doing lighthouse work and cooking. I am available 9 AM to 5 PM on most days and I'm well qualified for this job.

I was put into a situation at childhood taking care of my mother with rheumatoid arthritis. Taking care of my dad after college for over 14 years from a major stroke. I know what it is like for the patient and the family. I know what it is like when you loose your dignity having to depend on someone to feed you, dress you, bathe you and still find beauty in life. I am a very caring person and caretaking or elders comes very natural to me. I treat each individual the way I would like to be treated. I left my job 6 years ago with AT&T as a Senior Project Manager to take care of my wife w/cancer and daughter with systemic lupus. I know what it is like being sick and depending on others to get you through the day. I tried to get back to work but having been out of work for 6 years and over 50 its been almost impossible. Lets get real I think its time for a carreer change and doing something I truly am good at and enjoy. Its not about the money but what I enjoy doing...

Throughout my career and life, I always demonstrated professionalism, patience, and compassion. My wife was released from the hospital/rehab center after three months with various mobility restrictions. Since her release, I've provided assistance to walking, bathing, toileting, dressing, housekeeping, and transport to medical appointments and family events.

I am a caring, compassionate person who loves people and believe in service and community. I believe in paying it forward and giving back. One day I maybe in the position where I need someone to care for me. I would want good quality care.

For over 20-years, I've been employed by AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell Telephone Co). I have three adult children and eight grandchildren. I'm a former elected official (Lamar CISD Board of Trustee, 2009-2013). I became a caregiver when my granddaughter, at the age of 4, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014. I drove her to all of her treatments, surgeries, and stayed overnight (as needed) at the hospital in Houston, TX. My granddaughter beat childhood cancer. She is now thriving in school. Then my late father was diagnosed with Dementia in 2017. He could no longer drive. Therefore, I began driving him and my mother to their doctor appointments, as needed. Including either driving my mother to the grocery store or department store so that she can shop. My mother's eyesight is very sensitive to the light and she's losing her eyesight. Therefore, now my mother just gives me her grocery list and I do her grocery shopping. My late father passed away in late 2019. Now I'm my mother's full-time caregiver. Recently, my eldest brother was diagnosed with leukemia. I drive him to his treatments, as needed.

I became a Caregiver when my mother could not care for herself. I like helping people who can't help themselves. I am a retired female lives in Rowlett,TX. My achievements are: 30yrs with a telecommunication company, blessed to work for 8 families,also a Group Home. I am loyal, flexible and trustworthy. My skills are: Companionship,preparing meals,bathing/dressing,assist & administer medications,laundry,errands/shopping,light housekeeping. I am allergic to pets,CPR certified. I am a caregiver because I like to care for patients that needs care. I have 3 children and I love it when they take care of me so I like to do the same for others. Caregiving is something I have a passion in because Ive done in for so long. I took care of my grandmother for many years and everytime i take care of elders it makes me happy and i love to make them happy as well. I am very proud of myself doing a little more for my patients, to give them the satisfaction that they need is number 1 of staying healthy. I am a mother of 3 and 1 step child, so 4 in total. I have been with thier father for 18 years and I am a very strong family person. I love my family and I love being a mother and most of all I love taking care of all of them.

My name is Kenyetta Sampson, I became a caregiver because I love to help people. 8 love assisting in making someone's day better or easier. I have a nurturing spirit and I want to share it with the people that it would matter most to. I am very proud of completing my CNA Program. I am proud of that accomplishment because I completed that program while still going to school to get into the RN program. I am a very motivated and determined individual. I push myself harder than anyone could ever push me and I finish any goal I set forth for myself. I am a fast learner and I put my all into everything that I do because you never know what opportunities may arise from the situation or who it affects. I take pride in who I am and I love to help people take pride in themselves as well. I am truly a genuine person.

My mother had M.S. So I have years of experience, worked in a hospital several years ago as NA, also am a cancer survivor , lost my husband to illness 6 years ago. Caregiving has been a big part of my life & compassion & someone that cares is what I represent

I enjoy helping others. I love to help people keep their independence, that is very important to people and I feel they should hold on to that as long as they possibly can. I am a natural nurturer so taking care of others come easy for me. I have taken care of my loved ones all my life and in the work force I have found that it is something I enjoy. I love helping someone accomplish difficult task for themselves, the happiness, excitement and smiles on their faces are priceless to me. I have been a caregiver for a shorter time than others but during the times I have, the families I have interacted with has appreciated me by showing me great respect and trust with their loved ones. I focus on doing for my clients and at the same time I get to know them on a level that is professional but also personal. This is a field that I would stay in for a very long time and feel I will enjoy everyone I come in contact with for years to come. I am currently looking for 24hour shifts 3 days a week back to back during the week with flexibility to move days around if need to. This will best suite my family but give me the opportunity to assist someone else's family.

I become a Caregiver when my Mom and Grandma took sick and i felt like im the only one can take care her of them, i didn't like how other cared for them, I believe the way you want other's to treat you, you also should treat them, I believe we all have Challages in life, that don't mean we should be treated any different, when i'm able to make a person smile when they are having a bad day, I'm proud to be a Mother which i were able to help send 3 of my kids to College.I'm 40 yrs old and I cared and assist residents for 2 decades now, I enjoy my life when i'm helping someone, whose in need of my service.

I am retired from AT&T. I have also done babysitting and enjoy interacting with people. I helped my mother take care of my father for two years. My husband had a job that kept him out of town for months and years at a time. I raised our son mostly alone. I am a sincere and caring person. I am easy going and like to laugh. I think that I would make a good person to help others. I am 63 years old and have one son. He is grown and just moved back to Austin, Texas. I do not drink or smoke!

I am a current nursing student looking to jump start my career and become a caregiver by helping those in need. I am passionate about helping others and I believe that becoming a caregiver will allow me positively impact the lives of others. Caregiving is a rewarding career knowing that I am helping someone live their life fully. I know the bond between a caregiver and their client is much more than a business relationship; it is a trusted commitment in which I hope to become labeled as part of the family. I have personal experience with caring for a disabled family friend so I understand the duties and responsibilities that come with taking care of an adult in need. It truly brings me joy to aide loved ones, who's family and friends may not always have the time to help.

Hello my name is My'Angel, and yes I actually live up to my name. I am defiantly an angel at heart:) I became a care giver in 2013 and I did it for a year. I am from Michigan where they called care giving direct care work. I became a care giver because I absolutely love working with people and knowing that my work really helps. I love being able to make a difference in people lives and letting them know that they are never alone. I am proud that i'm branching off and experiencing more in life. I cared for my mother in home for 5 years and supported nursing home care for 3 family elders for a total of over 10 years. I am a retired corporate manager (35 years) and looking for rewarding opportunities for the next chapter of my life. I appreciate this 'greatest generation' and want to support them and 'give back' to the wonderful caregiving community that supported my family over the years. I have much experience with progressive dementia.

I have been caregiving for about 1 year now and “still love what I do”. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so.
