I am someone who is consistently growing themselves and who takes the time to continue learning even though it's not a direct requirement of the job. I find that many times it's a combination of what you study both directly and indirectly related to work.

I'm very compassionate, I love to help others, and most of all I enjoy what I do. I've worked with dementia, traumatic brain injuries, hospice, and stroke patients. I've used oxygen machines, diabetes instruments, blood pressure machine, and I know CPR. I've been doing care work for over 20 years.

I am a great caregiver because I help my patients with their needs, make sure they take their medications on time, enjoy activities with them, and socialize with them. I also cook, clean, shop for groceries, and make sure my patients feel loved and wanted. At the end of the day it is all about the patients and it is my job to make sure that they are happy. I love what I do and I take my job very seriously.

I became a caregiver because I have a passion for taking care of people. I love being able to interact with people who just sometimes need that extra attention and support. I like to make people feel good about themselves and I like for people to know that I care.

My motto is it is better to give the receive. I am a caring,trustworthy, and loving person. I like to be needed and I love to care for other. my father taught me whatever I do give it my 100% if it's a Male I'll take care of him like my father or brother if a female I'll take care of her like my mother or sister. My name is Ashley Riojas I'am 32 years old , I have been the in the healthcare field for quit a while now 8 years to be exact I'am also cna certified and cpr certified . I love to care for others I enjoy what I do .

I am 26 i live in the Washington metro area. I became interested in being a care giver at 15, when I seen my grandmother go through a brain tumor surgery successfully. After she recovered i be gained taking care of her learning different techniques to get her to eat, learning her diet helping her walk. At 18 i ventured out and be gained volunteering at a nursing home near by my neighborhood there i fixed patients lunch dinner breakfast i delivered it to there rooms, i got them dressed out of bed everyday took care of there personal hygiene. That is were i discovered I wanted to do this forever. Oh how humble this profession makes you and very mindful on how you treat others one achievement i am proud of during my years of experience is convincing a 80 year old woman to get out the bed and go out side to the park with me. You see she had not been outside as far as to a doctor's appointment for over 4 years. I stayed with her and cared for everyday I told her that going out side an seeing the birds and water was very soothing it took me about 20 times. Then one day she called me on the phone as i was on my way to her and she said take me outside today, I said sure but what changed she said a young lady that I know who has never let me down or lied to me said it would be worth my time.
